"It smells so good." Kayla commented while looking at the dessert that I prepared.
"Correction, not just the smell but also the taste." I told her while cleaning up the kitchen. Normally, my aunt won't let me use the kitchen because, according to her, I use too many utensils and make the kitchen messy. Luckily, she went out, so I had the chance to use the kitchen. I'm cleaning it now in case she finds out and gets angry.
"Oh, I do not doubt since you made it." She said. I immediately caught her hand when I caught her trying to sneak a spoonful of the dessert I made.
"Don't touch it. I'll bring this to Beni's house for his birthday. Your portion is on the fridge." I told her. She immediately opened the fridge to check if I had really left her some.
"Let's go. I don't want to be late. This isn't the Philippines, there's no Filipino time here." I said. I packed the buko pandan dessert that I made before we went outside.
Kayla drove me to Beni's place. She left immediately after dropping me off. I did tell her to stay and join us so she could meet Beni, but she declined, saying she had to go somewhere. I knocked on the door and it took a minute before someone opened it.
"Hola! Feliz cumpleaños." I greeted Beni when he opened the door. I googled the Spanish for happy birthday earlier while we were on our way to his place.
He smiles as he gives me a hug and a kiss on the cheek. "Gracias, Bonita." he said as he took the bag that I was carrying.
"What's this?" he asked.
"Oh, I remember you saying that you like any desserts that have coconut in them, so I made you a buko pandan. It's a famous dessert in my country." I told him. He immediately took out the transparent Tupperware and checked the dessert.
"Tell me if it's not to your liking." I told him.
"Is that jelly?" he asked.
"Yup. Where are your guests?" I asked.
"Inside. Come in." he said and I entered his house. I saw Jose and a few other men and women. After he introduced me to his buddies, we all went outside and sat by the pool to chat. I mostly stayed by Beni's side because he's the one I'm closest to and I was feeling a little anxious.
I chatted with the ladies, but then they went inside the house. I didn't follow them and just sat next to Beni and silently listened to the guys' chat. I had no idea what they were talking about.
I moved closer to him and whispered in his ear. "What's a bl*wjob? Is that his job?" I asked him. They were all speaking in Spanish, and that's the only English word that I heard, which came from Jhay. He stared at me as though I had asked something weird, and he choked back a laugh.
He moves closer to me while covering his mouth with his hand. "Oral s*x." He whispered. I grimaced at what he said.
"You better go inside." He told me while trying hard not to laugh. I immediately stood up and went inside the house. I don't want to hear more of whatever they are saying. It's a good thing I don't understand Spanish. Who knows what other explicit stuff they are talking about?
"Mia!" Taina called out when she saw me enter the house. I started to get nervous a little when all of them looked at me. I sat next to Taina, she's the wife of Juan, one of Beni's friends.
After I sat down, they began asking questions like how I met Beni, so I told them how we first met and how we became friends and all that.
"Did you had sex with him?" Rosalia asked, causing me to choke on my own freakin' saliva.
"Noooo. We're just friends." I immediately denied it, but they looked at me like I was joking or something.
"Friends with benefits? F*ck buddies?" Asked the other girl, and I swear, I'm blushing so hard by now.
"No. Just pure friends." I said.
"Really? Benito?I don't even think that guy knows the word pure." Rosalia retorted, and the others started laughing.
"Tienes un buen culo. I'm surprised he hasn't made a move yet." she said. I looked at Rosalia with confusion because I didn't understand the Spanish part of what she said.
"She said you have a nice big ass." The other woman said.
Why do they want to know if we had sex? Does he have a reputation for f*cking his friends? "We really did not. We're just friends." I insisted 'cause we didn't do anything like that.
"You don't like him?" asked the other lady.
"I like him, but not that kind of like. I like him as a friend, and he is fun to be around." I said, defending myself.
Rosalia remarked, "Every lady he's f*cked in the past has stated that, even Gabriela."
"Gabriela?" I asked.
Ooooh, is she his girlfriend? I'm interested to hear this for the first time because he has never opened up to me about his romantic life or whether he even has one. I don't think he has one, 'cause he wouldn't be spending so much time with me if he did.
"You don't need to be concerned about him dating because they broke up. Even if they're still together, they're in an open relationship, so they can f*ck anybody they want." she said.
Rosalia just says everything she wants to say. She doesn't even try to censor it. So, did Beni and Gabriela have an open relationship? He does exudes a f*ckboy aura, I can't say I'm surprised. I kind of expected that already. I like her, even though she speaks too bluntly. It would be awesome if we could be friends.
Rosalia continued, "Knowing Benito, I can almost guarantee that you will end up f*cking each other." I couldn't speak, so I began to consider ways to argue my case. I can feel my face flushing so hard right now.
Taina interrupted, "Okay. Enough about that. Let's call the guys so we can start eating. I am hungry." She grinned as I looked at her with appreciation. She is an angel. I really don't want to talk about that anymore.
We sang the happy birthday song for Beni when the guys came inside. After blowing out the candle on his cake, we started eating. As I eat, I continue to observe how they are reacting to the dessert I made. When I realized they enjoyed the dessert, I was overjoyed.
"Mia, esto es delicioso." Beni said while eating his buko pandan. B*tch please, I made that. Of course, it's delicious.
"What did you talk about with the girls?" he asked.
I paused for a few seconds before answering, "Just some girl talk." I definitely can't tell him that we were talking about his love life and that Rosalia thinks that we'll end up doing something, let's just say, naughty. Wouldn't that just make things awkward between us? It's better to keep it a secret.
After we finished eating, the guys went upstairs, and we ladies were left downstairs to clean. After we finished cleaning, the girls went outside to relax. I stayed because my aunt called, asking what time I'd be going home and telling me to go back early.
Beni came down and looked at the dessert I made. He opened his fridge, then started hiding it in the back of his fridge. "What are you doing?" I asked.
"I better hide this now before it's too late." He said. I laughed at his silliness.
"Where are the others?" I asked him. Are they still upstairs?
"In the game room." He answered.
I questioned, "Is it a fifty shades game room or a real game room with PCs or PlayStation?" It's better to be clear about these things.
He laughs at my question, "An actual game room. With computers and PlayStation." he answered.
I immediately went to his side and held his hand out of excitement. "Why didn't you tell me? What type of games do you have? Horror? Adventure? Action? Shooting games? Do you have Call of Duty? It's my favorite game to play. We are so going to be besties." I excitedly told him while holding his hand.
He raised his eyebrows and asked, "You play?"
"Oh, I play. I play so hard that I can do it for twenty-four hours straight." I told him. Hearing a whistle, I turned to look to our side. I saw José looking at us with a grin on his face. He is looking at us like, you know, he's judging me or something.
"Mia, you are a wild. Eres salvaje!" José said and he opened the fridge to get a box of juice.
I face Beni, who is trying so hard not to laugh. "What?" I asked. What's so funny? I still don't know why I got called salvaje.
I pondered what he had said. Then it suddenly sinks in. He might have misunderstood what I said. He might've assumed that I play hard with guys.
I shouted, "I was talking about computer games! I play computer games!" but José completely disregarded me as he walked upstairs.
I sat on the chair, feeling dejected. "I hate my life. I just ruined my image."
I looked at Beni and saw him laughing in silence. My *ss of a friend, who didn't even help me defend myself, is laughing at me. I rolled my eyes at him and punched his arm out of irritation. Now, his friends are probably going to think that I'm a slut or something.
