When the clock hit number nine, I heard along the corridor outside my bedroom there was a sound of walking, then I heard the sound of opening the doors – each door of the bedrooms of the female students on this floor. First room, second room, third room, it would be my room. I covered the blanket over my head but left a gap pointing to the room’s door.
