原作是美國詩人Robert Frost的著名格律詩:「The Road Not Taken」
有人說詩的格律是無法翻譯的,於是我這次就來挑戰一下。原詩每行都是10-11個音節,採用ABAAB的押韻方式寫作,於是我也仿效原作的風格譯成每行10個字,段數行數也和作一樣,押韻方面用AABBA的方式(因為我覺得雙句押韻比較像中文),大家覺得這種方式是否就能翻譯詩歌的格律呢?
不過因為要遷就格律,我翻譯時在內容上做了不少增減,想感受原作真諦的朋友,可以直接看原文,或者多看幾個不同版本的翻譯。
