Chapter Six
Ann Arbor, Michigan
Isabelle Crain focused on the swirling mists from the pier. She was born in the beautiful city in nineteen sixty. At fifteen, she was attending the Delta Phi Delta sorority house; she was eager to deal with the news that there was a killer on the loose. She glanced at Maureen Kemper Stein, her room mate, who was Jewish. She was also fifteen. Isabelle brushed her long, brown hair; her hazel eyes focused on the silvery mirror.
'I'm afraid', she told Maureen.
'It's going to be fine. Trust me'.
'Will it?', Isabelle asked her.
'Yes', Maureen answered her friend.
'Look at the newspaper', Isabelle said.
Maureen saw the sensationalistic headline:

'I'll tell the house mother, Mrs. Young', she announced.
'I'll come with you', Isabelle said.
