One year later...
Jessica Thorpe stood near Cramer Road. The wind from the south east came along her face; the feeling of being watched stirred bitter memories of living in the rough, city of New York; she was sick of the gang violence that gripped the place of her birth.
The killer grabbed the knife, and attacked her.
She screamed, as she kicked at his right hand.
The killer's knife clanged on the gravel.
And she fled in terror towards her 1972 Chevrolet C30 car.
