Morgan sat mulling over the words she had just mused. She didn't know if it was the drink or the sight of her wanted poster which had started such a sombre train of thought, but either way it remained embedded in her brain like a bad memory. The man who had forced her to change was long dead, but his threat still remained. 'Become a pirate, die a villain.' She smirked as she remembered his very words. He never was a subtle marine, always on about justice. It was a shame he never saw his own daughter turn into the very thing he hated, all Morgan ever saw of him was the back of his hand; which was more than what her mother gave her.
Morgan eyed the clock suspiciously as she suddenly downed her drink in one go, flung a few coins onto the bar and strode out, recieving a few stares in return. She didn't have time to reminice about what was right in this world. She calmly made her way toward the dock, making sure she wasn't recognised, despite her purposely shabby attire along with her dark cloak. Whoever came up with such well known 'undercover look' deserved an award.
She turned left down a cobbled street leading down to a narrow alleyway, only a few metres from the dock where the ship would be. A couple of metres more and she'd be home sailing. Morgan made her way down the darkened alleyway which was thankfully cut off from the rest of the town and took a sudden step back. There, in all his bleached white glory, was a marine. 727Please respect copyright.PENANAotypFrmf1a
He was sucking faces with a girl who was no more than thirteen, who certainly didn't look like she was enjoying the whole experience. Morgan reeled back in disgust as he slammed her against the wall as he prepared to do something so dispicable to such an innocent girl. The young girl caught Morgan's eye before she let out the loudest scream she could before it was silenced by the marine's burly hand which clamped over her mouth, her eyes widened with terror.
As quick as a wit, she produced a flintlock pistol from her belt, and fired.
"Justice be damned." she spat as the shocked marine slumped to the floor.
She ignored then young girl who stared at her, eyes still wide as Morgan walked away from the bloodied corpse of a man who was anything but what her father had believed in.
