GargoyleMan looks at them silently, much to the twin Navi’s discomfort.
"Wow...His gaze is intimidating," Solara stepped back.
"We came to see how strong BeastMan is...," LightMan said.
"Wait, you mean...BeastMan have to fight both of you alone?!" Iko said.
"That's right!" A boy with platinum hair named Kuya said, his face appears on the screen.
"You're crazy!" Timo said.
“Brother, calm down,” Tala reminded him.
LightMan turns his eyes at GargoyleMan.
"Gargoyle...," LightMan said.
GargoyleMan sighs reluctantly with his eyes closed
"Very well," GargoyleMan obliged.
"Wait!" The twin Navis runs to BeastMan's side.
LightMan generates Light Wall to prevent the twins from interfering.
"No!!" Iko said, hitting the wall.
"BeastMan! Hold on!" Solara said.
Iko tried to break the wall with his ultrasonic attack to no avail.
“It’s no use. The Wall absorbed my ultrasonic without a scratch. There’s nothing we can do but watch,” he said.
“No…,” Solara said and hug Iko with tears on her eyes.
The twins could only watch BeastMan fight GargoyleMan and LightMan by himself. LightMan temporarily blinds BeastMan and GargoyleMan swings his claw on him while he is stunned by the light.
"No!!!" Amy exclaimed.
A purple barrier blocks GargoyleMan's attack.
"What...?" BeastMan said.
A Navi similar to BeastMan in black armor appears in front of him.
"Who's that?" The twins said.
"Twilight...?" BeastMan said.
"Don't tell me...," Amy said in disbelief.
"I had a feeling this would happen," Twilight said.
"Shaner!" Amy called.
Twilight turns at her and gave a wry smile.
"I'm back, Amy...my old friend," he said.
"Whoa!" Iko gaped.
Twilight helped BeastMan stand up.
"Let's go, BeastMan. We do this together!" he smirked.
BeastMan nods.
"Yeah!" BeastMan exclaimed.
Twilight and BeastMan split up and each of them strikes one Navi.
Twilight faces LightMan while BeastMan faces GargoyleMan.
Twilight swings his "So, you're that secret dark power BeastMan. Tell me...Are you a manifestation of the dark chip?" LightMan asked.
Twilight gives an evil smug grin in response.
"Hmph...Wrong. BeastMan never used the dark chip. I am me who reside within my host and I inherit the power of eternal darkness!" he answered.
He vanishes and suddenly appears above him, striking from above. LightMan quickly jumps away before Twilight could hit him.
"Impossible! How could a dark NetNavi like you exist inside another NetNavi without using a dark chip?" LightMan said.
Twilight shows a manic expression and laughs out loud.
"Ahahaha!! Guess it yourself!" he sent his dark auras to bind LightMan.
Meanwhile, BeastMan keeps trying to hit GargoyleMan but all of his attacks are missed. When GargoyleMan turns at LightMan, he gasped. BeastMan use this chance to strike him while he was distracted. GargoyleMan managed to block his attack yet he kept looking at Twilight as his auras lift LightMan slowly. BeastMan turns his head and gasps for what he witnessed.
"Hmhmhm...," Twilight laughed demonically as two dark orbs appear in front of him.
Twilight takes the orbs and inserts them into LightMan's core.
"Agh, aghhh!!" LightMan screamed as Twilight smirked wider.
"LightMan!!!" Kuya exclaimed.
“What a terrifying power,” GargoyleMan commented.
“He corrupted LightMan!” Amy said.
“What?!” Everyone said in shock.
As soon as Twilight finished inserting the dark orbs, his auras throw LightMan away. LightMan stands up with his chest aching hard. Twilight and BeastMan send claw waves on LightMan.
"Retreat!! So strong...," LightMan said.
He grits his teeth in pain and logs out, leaving GargoyleMan alone. Twilight and BeastMan surround GargoyleMan who calmly looks at them.
"It's your turn now, GargoyleMan," BeastMan said.
"I changed my mind, I have decided to join you," GargoyleMan said.
"Huh? Wait, you went rogue?" BeastMan asked, raising an eyebrow.
"My operator left me a long time ago. He found a stronger NetNavi and abandoned me. That's why I've gone solo for a long time," GargoyleMan confessed.
"But you don't have an operator. How are you going to join us?" Twilight asked.
GargoyleMan looks at Vine beside BeastMan’s operator and points his finger at him.
"I want that blue-haired boy to be my operator," he pointed out.
"Wha?" Everybody surprised.
Vine gasps in disbelief.
"You there," GargoyleMan called him.
Vine leans closer to the screen.
"What's your name?" GargoyleMan asked.
"It's Blue Vine," Vine answered.
"Will you be my operator?" Gargoyle asked.
Vine was so surprised cause he hasn’t gotten a NetNavi for a long time. "I will," Vine said.
"Good, here's a PET which I made myself," GargoyleMan said.
He materialized a grey PET with a gold outline, black scratch marks on top of it, and GargoyleMan's logo on the left and right of the screen. He logs out and appears on the screen when Vine turned on the PET.
"From now on, I shall be your custom NetNavi. Let's work together...," GargoyleMan said.
"Yes...," Vine nodded.
BeastMan and Twilight return to Amy's PET and fused back into one. The twin Navis also returned to their owner.
"Welcome to the group," The twins said.
Meanwhile...Aprolla slammed the table with his fist angrily.
"You failed me, Kuya! And that traitorous GargoyleMan has left us. Unbelievable," Mr. Aprolla yelled and slam the table again.
“Forgive me, sir. I was careless,” Kuya said.
“Still...Why did GargoyleMan defect to Symilton's side? No one understands what he is thinking,” Ursula said.
“Hmph, we need a new member! Quick, scout around the city for our recruit!” Aprolla exclaimed.
“Yes sir!” Everyone shouted.
Everyone runs out to scout for operators for them to recruit when LightMan called Kuya.
“Kuya...Help me...Gah, it hurts! “LightMan felt his core aching.
Kuya takes out his PET and sees LightMan clenching his corrupted core.
”LightMan! Hang on, buddy. I will fix you right away,” he said with an anxious look on his face.
“As for your NetNavi, Kuya...,” Mr Aprolla said. “We will fix your NetNavi. Richmond!” Mr. Aprolla called.
A semi-muscular man with a toolbox in his hands enters the room.
“What can I do for you, sir?” Rick asked.
“Fix this boy’s NetNavi for me,” Mr. Aprolla said.
“Yes sir! Come with me, boy. Let’s repair your NetNavi, shall we?” Rick said.
Kuya comes along with the man into the reparation room. LightMan enters the net and a robotic NetNavi appears near him.
“RepairMan! Can you repair him?” Rick asked.
“Of course. It will be finished shortly,” RepairMan said.
RepairMan begins repairing LightMan as Kuya watches from the computer.
“Damn it, why my plan always fails?!” Aprolla shouted in his office.
Kuya enters the room.
“Sir...,” Kuya called.
“What is it, Kuya?” Aprolla asked with an angry tone.
“My LightMan was hurt not because of BeastMan. It was other NetNavi...,” Kuya reported.
Aprolla turned his chair at Kuya and squint his eyes with an intrigued look.
“Other NetNavi...Interesting...What kind of NetNavi is it?” Aprolla intrigued. “A dark NetNavi did this to my LightMan. He corrupted my NetNavi using dark power. He looks exactly like BeastMan but with a darker color," Kuya replied.
“A dark NetNavi? BeastMan’s operator must have used a dark chip long before we start our move,” Aprolla guessed.
“No, sir...This dark NetNavi said that he lived within BeastMan so I don’t think it’s because of the dark chip but...more like a dark NetNavi living inside another NetNavi yet strangely enough...he never attack BeastMan for once as if he just let his doppelganger exist!” Kuya explained.
“Really? Hmm...what an interesting NetNavi. Keep an eye on this BeastMan and his evil self. I would like to gather more information about this hidden dark NetNavi. Kuya, Ezla sent us information that our BeastMan and his friends will go camping in Pine Forest the day after tomorrow. Your next mission is to gather this information with our new recruit when we found one,” Aprolla said.
“Yes sir,” Kuya obeyed.
