Shani looked at Rose, who had begun to blush spectacularly.
So goddamn cute!! Shani thought. All the world seemed to dissolve, leaving only Shani and Rose in a field of darkness.
'Y-yes?' Rose stammered, looking like the rose he was named after.
'Rose.' a singular word uttered out of Shani's mouth before he turned away, biting the words back. The words that could either end this chance or begin a cute relationship.
The silence was deafening, like the wind in a car on the motorway. Shani turned back to all the world, putting himself and Rose, who may or not have gotten the idea yet.
Shani didn't think. He just did.
He strode over to Rose in three strides and put his nose near his. Then all of a sudden, the world melted away as Shani leaned in to kiss him.
It was blissful. Rose's soft lips against his own. They pulled away and looked at each other for a few seconds then Rose wrapped his arms around Shani and pulled him towards him.
The class jeered and shouted slurs but they didn't care, they had found their perfect match.
