" I wish I could walk like those kids, Sasha.", Muzan said to his sister while watching the kids playing outside the window.
"Boy, you were born unlucky that's your fault."
"How could she be like this with her brother, so rude, I hate her", he said in his mind.
"No wonder everyone hates you", his other sister Amelie says.
"You are such a burden on us, isn't it Sasha?"
"hmm, all our money is being wasted on his surgeries."
They slammed the door and walked out of the room. Muzan was born with osteochondritis dissecans. It is a joint condition in which bone underneath the cartilage of a joint dies due to a lack of blood flow. This bone and cartilage can then break loose, causing pain and possibly hindering joint motion. He was not able to walk properly.
Muzan was born several years ago with a fragile, delicate, and the easily exhausted human body that even the simple task of walking and breathing was hard for him to do, forcing him to spend a majority of his life stuck within his home being cared for by his mother and father who, given his frailty, loved him profoundly and respected him. One night, a man gave him a magical stone and confronted Muzan. That man then tried to "rescue" him and that stone converted him into a Demon. Apart from turning it into a demon, it had bad luck. That bad luck would do something worse to him, maybe leading to his death.
Now possessing a strong body Muzan was finally able to move about freely for the first time bringing joy and happiness to his parents. It did not last, though, as he was now a Demon needing to get nourishment by eating humans, which further led him to kill his sisters, Sasha and Amelie inside his house. His parents then encountered this gruesome scene that was instantly horrified by their son's wrongdoing.
One night, his father and mother decided that Muzan had to be punished and attempted to kill him in his sleep so he couldn't do anything more like that in the future. His father then managed to sneak on him with a knife and told him not to worry, because he was already planning to kill himself as his mother sobbed and wept outside his room. The stone that Muzan had was giving him strength. The stone has abilities that would make anyone cold. Especially, a demon. It would make him cold-hearted, ruthless, intimidating, and exceptionally intelligent.
However Muzan awoke and in anger for their attempt on his life, killed them both instead in self-defense, rationalizing that his true parents would never try and kill him and thus considered them to be faked in denial. Nonetheless, as his mother lay dying, Muzan overheard her regretfully apologizing to Muzan for not being able to give him a healthy body until she died. Which then led him to more anger.
He received a larger amount of power from that stone which allowed him to possess incredible amounts of power. His body was incredibly durable and hard to cut, surpassing the threads he creates. Being easily able to physically overpower his foes by simple actions like kicking, displays his enhanced strength. He was able to create threads using his cells for offense and defense. The sharpness and durability are powerful enough to break a blade easily. He also can change the physical appearance of other Demons who consume his blood.
He killed many people and used that stone to enhance his power but it didn't last too long. A more powerful demon Akun destroyed that stone which shocked Muzan as no one was able to do it because it was so powerful. Akun was able to destroy it and was ready to kill Muzan too. The last words Muzan heard were from Akun:
"I thought it'd just get in the way between you and me, so I destroyed it before you. Let's have some fun"
