Persephone's Garden763Please respect copyright.PENANAQ6MYxkneTy
Janice ran out the west-wing doors into Persephone's Garden. It was Janice's mother's most cherished garden, filled with dark, poisonous plants that could all easily kill if handled improperly. Janice's personal favorite was the Blood Apple Tree. Though the tree was perfectly harmless, the apples weren't. With white flesh stained by deadly red juice, that fruit was both beautiful to draw and yet an effective weapon. 763Please respect copyright.PENANAAOAbkJ3FhR
Sticking strictly to the path, Janice watched the ground with grave concentration, as to avoid stepping in modified poison ivy or oculus, a plant that secreted a neurotoxin so powerful it could knock you out in five minutes flat. Still, she would look up intermittently, hoping to find her mother among the deathly plants.
Suddenly, Janice saw a Luna Mosaic flower in full bloom, its softly glowing white petals surrounding poisonous nectar. The petals moved as if swaying in the wind, but it was a sunny, breezeless afternoon.
Absorbed in the mystery of the swaying petals, the hard, crisp feeling of her mother's thoughts startled Janice. She looked to her left to find her mother walking towards her.
"Andy said you were looking for me," Janice's mother said. "What do you need?"
Janice eyed the dangerous plants all around her. "I need to talk to you about something," Janice said. "But not here. Perhaps inside."
Janice's mother nodded coldly and walked towards the entrance. Janice followed. 763Please respect copyright.PENANA5RrDrTGUvb
