It has been a day since they left port to rescue Drinter’s daughter. Shug is on the nest of the ship on lookout. Yunga comes up the ladder to the nest and joins Shug up there.
“What’s up Shug?” Yunga asked him, standing right beside him looking out at the sea.
“Nothing much, I’ve never been this bored in my life though.” Shug responded, as he rested his head on his hand.
“In your life? Really?”
“Well, I am exaggerating, I have been in a position like this before.”
“Ooo! When?”
“LIke years ago, my parents sold me to a crew of pirates who were looking for a deckhand.”
“Sorry to hear that.”
“No need to feel sorry for me, I’m actually glad they did that. The pirate crew treated me better than my parents ever did. Not to imply that it was good, just better.”
“What do you mean by that?”
“I mean that the pirate crew didn’t starve me so they can spend their money on their little chemicals that make them forget about their problems. Sure I get beaten every time I did something a little wrong, but it’s better than just dying of starvation.”
“I guess, but it’s still kinda fucked up. What crew were you a part of?”
Shug looked down at the ground, and didn’t respond to the question.
“Shug?”
“You don’t need to know.”
Yunga looked weirdly at Shug, and patted him on the back.
“You don’t need to tell me if it’s a sore subject.”
Shug looked up at Yunga who was smiling at him. Shug smiled back and looked out into the ocean.
“Thanks.”
Yunga then came down from the crow’s nest and Shug was left up there to scout.
“I couldn’t tell her.” Shug said to himself. “I don’t know what will happen if I do.”

A ship is sailing through the sea, this ship belongs to the Mickels, another very infamous pirate crew that is way more extreme than the Elantra Pirates. The captain of that ship is captain Rint. The ship was carrying the captain, along with five other crew members. Among them is six year old Shug who is cleaning the deck with a mop and broom.
“Pick up the pace Shug!” Rint yelled
“Sorry!” Shug responded, picking up the pace.
“When do we get to Mintlantica!?” Rint shouted at a crew member on top of the crow's nest.
“According to this map, we are only an hour away!” The guy from the crow’s nest shouted back.
“Good, those people are gonna regret for banishing us!”
Shug looked up at the captain overlooking the sea. Shug took a step forward and knocked over the bucket of water he was cleaning the deck with and it spilled everywhere. Shug stops in place and is frozen with fear.
“Shug!” Rint growled. Shug couldn’t respond back and only stood there.
“Yes cap-” Shug’s sentence was cut off by Rint kicking Shug in the stomach and sending him flying over the deck and into a wall.
“THAT WAS THE FIFTH TIME YOU DID THAT THIS WEEK! DON’T YOU EVER LEARN YOUR LESSON! OR DO I HAVE TO BEAT YOU MORE TO MAKE IT STICK!” Rint raged on shouting at Shug as he was crying holding his stomach from being kicked there. Rint kept reprimanding Shug for a good five minutes.
“Captain!” The guy from the crows nest shouted.
“What!?” Rint snapped back.
“We have a ship heading our way!”
“Why do people need to get in my way?” Rint growled.
Rint walked away from Shug and to the front of the ship again and peered out to the ship that was coming to them. The ship was painted green and the flag they had was a skull but no cross bones but a sword being stabbed through it.
“Holy shit! I thought I’d never see the day where I crossed the path of the infamous Elantra Pirates. Get ready for a full out attack, today we end the Elantra Pirates.”
Rint looked over at Shug who was still on the ground from the kick.
“That includes you too kid!”
The two ships then pull up side by side with one another and the Mickels ship, shoots a harpoon that connects directly to the Elantra Pirates ship. On the Elantra Pirates ship were only two people on the Elantra Pirate’s ship. The main couple who run the Elantra Pirates, Jane Elantra and Sinther Elantra. All of the Mickels crew come out and look at the Elantra Pirates, and they pull out their weapons. Rint is in front of the whole crew facing the couple.
“Well well well, look who we have here. The Elantra PIrates!” Rint started. “How we have crossed paths.”
The couple look at the crew and especially at Shug who is hiding behind one of the men.
“Is that your son?” Sinther questioned, pointing at Shug. Shug, ducks behind the leg of the crew member he was hiding behind.
“No, he’s just some kid we picked up.” Rint responded. “But let’s not change the subject here. We are willing to let you guys go if you give us all of your gold you have. Deal?”
Sinther goes in front of Jane and puts his hand on his sword. “Over my dead body.”
“Wow what fighting words for someone who just lost all of their crew recently. Are you just ignoring that mission you guys took to that volcano?”
Rint gave them a cheeky grin. In a second Sinther is in the face of Rint with his sword, Rint blocks the attack with his sword as well.
“You guys are more cutthroat nowadays aren’t we!?” Rint said, coming back with a counter attack. Rint swings back at Sinther and Sinther dodges it swinging at one of the crew members behind Rint and he hits one of them. The guy Sinther hit stumbles back and falls off the boat from the hit. Jane follows up on the attack from Sinther, and swings her sword at Rint but he blocks the attack again.
“You attacked me twice and still didn’t get a hit on me!” Rint scolded. Jane kicks Rint in the stomach, making him stumble back a little. Two crew members attack Jane, Sinther swoops in and stabs one of the guys in the shoulder and kicks him off the boat. Jane stabs one of the guys in the stomach, takes the sword out, and decapitates the guy with his head flying off the boat. The remaining guy left still has Shug holding onto his leg.
“Get the fuck off me” The guy scowled and kicks Shug off of him and into the captains cabin.
“You bastard!” Jane yelled, lunging at the guy and stabbing him in the heart. The guy falls over onto the ground and dies.
“Not bad, not bad at all!” Rint praised as he pulled out his big ax. “Let’s see how you compare to me though.”
Rint charges up his attack and swings down onto Jane but she doges and Rint’s axe smashes the wood on the ship. Jane takes the opportunity and attacks Rint but he hits her off of him. Sinther comes in from above, but Rint swings his axe up and cuts off Sinthers leg and he flies across the ship and almost falls off.
“Sinther!” Jane yelled in utmost concern running over to Sinther.
“Just keep fighting, I’ll get over it!” Sinther struggled to say.
Rint comes over with his axe and swings down. Sinther pushes Jane out of the way as he gets cut in half by Rint’s axe.
“NO!” Jane yells, she reaches her hand out to hold Sinthers corpse. She holds his hand and cries. Rint raises his hands with his axe, slamming down on Jane decapitating her. Shug watches in horror and sneaks into the captain's cabin and hides behind the door.
“Whew! That's the Elantra Pirates gone. After ten years of being one of the best, it was about time that someone else swooped in and took the title from them.” Rint said in some sort of monologue. “Unfortunately my whole crew is dead. Well, except for one.” Rint looked over at the captain's cabin.
“Shug! Come out now!” Rint shouted. Shug is still cowering behind the door refusing to open it up. “Goddammit Shug I swear to-”
A cabin door from the Elantra Pirates ship and a young fourteen year old Yunga walks out from the ship.
“Mom? Dad?” Yunga stuttered, as she looked over at the bodies of her parents.
“Mommy and Daddy are dead little girl.” Rint responded with a sort of cheekiness in his voice.”
Yunga fell to her knees and started crying. Rint looked over at Yunga.
“Looks like the Elantra Pirates won’t die as long as she lives.” Rint said to himself, lifting up his axe and jumping towards Yunga on her ship. Rint, while in the air, lifts his axe up and is gonna slam down on Yunga to end the Elantra bloodline. Rint slams down his axe where Yunga was on her knees, except Yunga isn’t there anymore.
“Huh? Where’d she go!?” Rint stammered. He looked back at his boat to see Yunga there grabbing her mother’s sword. Rint jumps over there really fast but Yunga is already a step ahead of him and meets him in the air and stabs him in the arm. Rint screams out in pain as he lands on his boat holding his arm.
“I’m not gonna let a kid get the best of me!” Rint scowled, slamming his axe into the ground in anger.
Yunga is already in the face of Rint and has her sword ready to swing down on him. Mint looked up in shock at just how fast Yunga was, maybe even faster than he is. That statement was to be proven true as Yunga stabs Rint in the eye and kicks him and he goes off of the boat. There’s a big splash in the water and Rint is never heard from again.
Once the battle was over Yunga ran over to her parents body and sobbed. She sobbed over the lifeless bodies of her parents, every single tear hitting their corpse. After about an hour of constant sobbing Yunga got up and took the bodies of her parents and threw them into the ocean as a kind of burial, she saluted her parents as their bodies sank into the ocean.
Shug is still inside the captain's cabin, shivering and quaking. He has blocked the door with a barrel and curled up in a ball in the corner of the cabin. An unfamiliar sound is heard by Shug. He is too afraid to look outside to see what it is. The sound is constant cracking and gusts of air. Then, the smell of burning wood came through the air. And as soon as you knew it, a fire had broken into the captain's cabin, starting at the door. Shug gets up from his curled up ball position and is panicking on what to do. The fire is now starting to go past the door and more into the cabin. Shug looks over at the window inside the captain's cabin and runs over to it. He climbs on the window sill and looks down at the ocean below. Shug looks behind him at the fire quickly spreading inside the cabin. He has no other option but to jump into the ocean and he does exactly that. Shug jumps from the window and into the cold sea below.
Yunga jumps from the burning boat onto the Elantra boat and sets the sails so she can sail back to Mintlantica. She unhooks the anchor and she sails away. Yunga looks back at the burning ship and begins crying.
“God where am I gonna go?” Yunga asked herself. “Is it better to go back to the land? Or keep going out on the sea?” Yunga takes a deep breath and thinks to herself for almost an hour about what to do. “No! I should stay on land, soon the food resource is gonna run out and I’ll be stranded with nothing else to do. So yes! It’ll be better than to keep going out at sea! That’s what my mom would say!”
Her ship is now going very fast as it got unexpectedly windy and she is moving way too fast coming close to shore.
“Oh shit!”
Yunga runs over to the anchor and puts it down but it’s too late. The ship crashes into the shore of Mintlantica and the ship crumbles apart. Yunga gets thrown off of the ship and onto the beach. Yunga gets up from the sand and looks behind her to see the ship all crumbled apart and unrepairable, and the food that they kept on board was now all sinking to the bottom of the ocean.
“NO! DAMMIT! DAMMIT! DAMMIT!” Yunga screams in anger and slams the sand for a little while. She gets up from the sand and turns to look into the jungle that homes this whole entire continent.
“It’s ok. I just have to keep on going and I’ll be fine. That’s what my dad would do!”
She takes a deep breath and takes her mom’s sword and walks into the jungle.
Shug comes up from the water gasping for air near the beach that Yunga crashed at. He was able to hang onto the harpoon wire that Rint shot into the Elantra ship. Once the ship fell apart he lost his grip on the wire and slipped into the water. Shug swims towards the shore and gets his bearings and stands up. He takes a good look at the ocean and the jungle ahead of him. He sits there for about five minutes before deciding to go on ahead and into the jungle to get back to civilization. He stumbles a bit but is able to enter the jungle with unshakable fear.

“Shug? Shug? SHUG!” Yunga screamed, snapping her fingers in front of his face to make him snap out of it.
“Ah! Sorry!” Shug said, rubbing his eyes.
“We’re almost there so be ready.”
“Got it.”
“You know, for a guy who’s done this before you’re not very good at it.”
“Again sorry, I’m just tired.”
“It’s alright. It’s not like something bad happened anyways.”
“What’s this town called anyways?”
“It’s a town called Quint. According to the map and note given to us by the king. We are to start our investigation by asking the mayor.”
“Sounds good.”
“Oop, we’re getting really close. Better drop the anchor, don’t wanna come at the shore too fast, learn that the hard way.”
“I know.”
“What?”
“Nothing.”
“Ok. Hey! Get ready to lower the anchor!”
Yunga climbs down the ladder off the crows nest and commands the ship's crew. Shug looks at the approaching town. Shug sighs and wipes his eyes again as they port at the town dock. He looks down at Yunga commanding the crew.
“Maybe I should tell her.”
