As we sat down on the floor, I took out my lunchbox, feeling a bit self-conscious about what I had brought to eat. "Is that sushi?" Luc asked, pointing to the rolls in my lunchbox. "Yeah, it is," I said, surprised that he knew what it was. "I love sushi. Can I have a piece?" he asked, grinning at me. "Sure, go ahead." I handed him a piece of sushi and watched as he took a big bite. "Mmm, this is really good," he said with his mouth full. I chuckled and took a bite of my own sushi.
As we ate, we talked about random things, like our favorite movies and TV shows. It was nice to just sit there and chat with him, without any pressure or stress. I felt like I could be myself around him, which was a rare feeling for me.
After we finished eating, Luc stood up and walked over to one of the boxes in the corner of the room. "Hey, check this out," he said, holding up an old-looking book. "What is it?" I asked, getting up to look at it. "It's a journal. It looks like someone's been writing in it for a long time," he said, flipping through the pages.
I leaned in to get a closer look and saw that the writing was in a language I didn't recognize. "I wonder what it says," I said, intrigued. "Yeah, me too. Maybe we can try to translate it," he suggested, looking at me with a smile. I nodded eagerly, excited at the idea of deciphering the mysterious journal.
We spent the next hour trying to figure out what the writing meant. We used our phones to translate the words into different languages, but nothing seemed to make sense. "This is so frustrating," I said, leaning back against the wall. "I know, but it's also kind of exciting, don't you think?" Luc said, sitting down next to me.
I looked at him and smiled. He was right, it was exciting. It was like we were on an adventure, trying to solve a puzzle. "Yeah, it is," I agreed. "We should keep working on it, maybe we'll figure it out eventually." He nodded, and we went back to trying to decipher the journal.
As we worked, I couldn't help but feel grateful for having Luc in my life. He had been there for me when I needed someone to talk to, and he was always up for trying new things. I felt like I could rely on him, and that was a comforting feeling.
Eventually, we had to leave the old storage room and head back to our classes. As we walked back to the classroom, I couldn't help but feel like something had shifted between us. It was like we had crossed some invisible line and become closer than just friends.
I didn't know what it meant or where it would lead, but I was excited to find out. For the first time in a long time, I felt like something good was happening in my life. And it was all thanks to Luc.205Please respect copyright.PENANAcZinPr53vv
As we walked back to class, I decided to take a chance and ask him out. "Hey Luc, do you want to hang out after school sometime?" I asked nervously. He looked at me with a smile and said, "Sure, I'd love to."
I felt my heart skip a beat, and I couldn't believe he said yes. "Great, how about we go try that new sushi place downtown?" I suggested, feeling a bit bolder now that he had agreed to hang out with me. "Sounds perfect," he said, grinning at me.
For the rest of the day, I couldn't focus on anything else but our upcoming date. I felt like I was floating on air, and I couldn't wait to spend more time with him.
As we said goodbye at the end of the day, Luc turned to me and said, "I had a really great time today, thank you for sharing your sushi with me." I smiled and replied, "I had a great time too, and I'm looking forward to our date." He nodded and walked away, and I couldn't help but feel like something wonderful was beginning.
