Havoc became very close to Mr. Pearce. When Havoc was finally beginning to enjoy life, a hideous and huge monster was spotted in the village that was killing the innocent.
Lots of people were being killed each day. Many wizards tried their tricks to kill the monster, but were not successful. Many wizards tried their tricks and spells to at least attempt to kill the monster, but were not successful. Many wizards died trying and some gave up including the most powerful wizard of all.
Mr. Pearce was very concerned. He wanted to save the people of the town from the monster. There was a very old disappearing trick known to an old wizard that could kill the monster. Except the legendary wizard lives in the wilderness and Mr. Pearce was growing old, and was not sure if he could go into the wilderness and search for the oldest living wizard.
Havoc could see the hurt and pain in Mr. Pearce's eyes. Mr. Pearce is all he had left. He could not see him hurt the same way Mr. Pearce could not see Havoc hurt. Havoc begged him to tell him where to go to obtain that magic power. Mr. Pearce was very worried, he was afraid Havoc might not every return.
