And before I could ask you about the puddle by your feet

It's time to once again

To pack up all my dream and send with a stamp

Cause I'm still hoping

That some day in the distant future they'll reach camp

And you'll open it wide with a smile

Knowing I still care and I've cared for awhile

Unfortunately those are just those are just dreams

I'd really send you twelve million stars if they'd fit in an envelope

I'm unobservant, unprepared an lacking in self esteem

Yet still I try and pry in hope I'll find my way to you

But if I could find the reason that you always look on in shame
