Eowynn is the older of the set of twins she was born in, and consequently became the next heir to her Pride. Her parents are pushing her to mate with the son of her father's best friend, and her twin is trying to keep a steady bond with her but their parents keep comparing her to him in everything that she does.

A war in the land of a neighboring brings King Goliath and what's left of his Pride to stay in Eowynn's territory, right when things were already difficult enough.
