The local who lent me a hunting rifle handed me a picture of what the wolf looked like. I was on a hunting trip with my father, he was a hunter by nature, but I only tagged along to find the Honshu wolf. A Cryptid, a supposedly extinct animal that has been sighted time and time again. But my Dad had to go check on my Aunt, Kotohona. Again, more of a chance to find the wolf
I went out into the cold weather, it was snowing it's ass off. And it was piling up. Not that I cared, it would make deer easier to find, and It would make my other goal easier. I walked into the woods outside of the man's house, and I wandered for hours. Looking for the wolf, or a deer. 143Please respect copyright.PENANAAYLGZJHR7h
About 5:00, and there weren't any deer. Or at least, any deer worth shooting. Most of them were does or fawns. My Dad taught me not to shoot them, they were useful to make more deer to repopulate the ones that die in hunting season. Yeah, my dad was not only a hunter, but a Veterinarian at a zoo back in Diamondfield. He worked with the Antelope and the occasional Black deer.
After a moment or two, I considered walking back to the man's house, and asking if he could call an Uber for me to get to Aunt's house. Apparently she had given birth to a baby boy. And my Dad, went to help her out until her husband; Taro came home. But after a while, I soon realized I was lost. Then I heard the loud crunching sound of feet, not feet, Hooves. 143Please respect copyright.PENANAnFejYQjY9J

Is all I said before I saw a herd of deer in front of me, and they were running towards me, not out of anger, but they were being hunted. I soon saw what it was. A pack of wolves. I pointed my rifle at a wolf, and I shot it. Bringing it down. But the gunshot scared the deer. And an adult male, a 15 pointer swung its head in my direction, knocking me off a cliff. Into a soft patch of Snow. 143Please respect copyright.PENANAjeGPfZX99M
"Where am I?" I asked as I picked up my rifle. The landscape around me was spooky, dead trees, abandoned shrines to gods long forgotten, broken cars laying in the snow. I knew I was not in a safe place. 143Please respect copyright.PENANAGpyubRpgRg
I walked over to a post that had a handwritten sign that read: "The Japanese constitution is not in effect past here." It was written in Kanji. But my Aunt, she taught me how to read that language.
"Okay..." I said as I looked around the seemingly abandoned town. I took out my video camera, and I began recording the town.143Please respect copyright.PENANAt8Y7DBypTJ
"Okay, so we have an abandoned town out in the middle of nowhere.. I was out hunting, and I found this place, I found this sign. Reading.. 'the Japanese constitution is not in effect past here.', it's abandoned though. So there is most likely nobody living here. But just in case, I have my rifle that a local handed me. Shoutout to Mr. Yamato by the way." I walked to the nearest house, and I looked inside. God the place smelled awful. Like Mold, Death, and Decay.
"Jesus... What died here?" I said putting on a surgical mask I was given over my nose. It barely made the stench go away. But at least I could breathe easily, and not worry about the risk of contracting any airborne diseases.
I went into the house, reading another handwritten sign. It read "Morgue." I noticed body bags on the ground, there were dead bodies in them. I had a feeling that something horrible happened here. I read the tags. The names were crossed out, but the cause of death was about the same. "Frostbite". With one tag being. "Died due to complications caused by pregnancy."143Please respect copyright.PENANAoLey0LtWHY
I left the house, and I looked around the rest of the village. The sun was setting. And the snow was beginning to pick up. I knew I had to get inside, start a fire, and find somewhere to sleep.
I saw that there was a lone woman in the village. She appeared to be in her early thirties. Maybe this woman heard me shooting at the wolf. And maybe she came looking for me. I put my rifle over my back, And I approached her.
"Hey, miss. Can you help me out? I got knocked off a cliff by a herd of Deer, and now I'm lost..."
The woman looked at me and smiled. "Allow me to ask you this. Where did you come from?" She said it all in perfect English.
I raised an eyebrow. "I fell off the cliff, so... I dunno... an hour's walk from here.. that's where I met the owner of the hunting supply shop."143Please respect copyright.PENANAxKt5qP5upJ
The woman laughed. "I meant where did you come from. You look like you're not from around here."
"I came from the states.. My Dad and I came here to go hunting, but well... My Aunt had a baby, so my dad's been caring for her and her kid, I've been wandering the woods. Trying to hunt for a wolf." 143Please respect copyright.PENANAYsP5jrywwp
"Ah, your Aunt.. what is she doing here?"
I smiled. "She's a native from around here. I think she lives in one of the bigger cities.."
"So your father and your aunt are brother and sister? How interesting."
I shook my head. "No ma'am.. My aunt Kotohona is my momma's sister. Which My mom died bringing me into this world.."
The woman nodded. "Follow me. I can try and contact your aunt, me and the Kuroyangi family go way back." She led me to her house, which looked a lot nicer than the other abandoned houses here. 143Please respect copyright.PENANAAah5FjCLIp
"Leave your backpack and your coat in the coat rack. You'll get them back in the morning." The woman said. 143Please respect copyright.PENANAXXgJsJZE5s
And I did that, without questioning.. After all.. I was a guest in this woman's home.
"So, how many people live in this town?" I asked the woman.143Please respect copyright.PENANAxmppIXztgT
"About fifty, not counting the people in my family."
"Do you have children?"
The woman nodded. "Yes.. I have daughters.. and a son.."
I smiled. And I wrote down my Father's phone number.
"Here, ma'am.. it's my dad's phone number."
She smiled, and she took the piece of paper.
"Now, I'm going to make a drink for you. Go on and make yourself comfortable somewhere."
I nodded, and I sat down on a couch in a sitting room. And about 15 minutes later, and she returned with a cup of tea.
"Here.." She said as she handed me the teacup.
"Thank you ma'am." I said.
"For an American, and a southerner, you are a respectful young man. Your father raised you well."
I smiled. "Thank my Aunt.. she was basically my mother figure."143Please respect copyright.PENANAjn4p68LHDC
I took a sip, then I felt drowsy. then another sip... and I was on the verge of passing out.
"Ma'am.... I don't feel......"
I managed to choke out before I hit the floor, I passed out.143Please respect copyright.PENANAUsfhjXnzad
