"Echo, this isn't our world. What is this?"
"Well, I was watching TV and this anime came on. I touched the screen, slipped into it; you grabbed onto my leg, and fell in with me. It's that simple."
"Remind me to never help you again."
We walked around the village and came across a school. "This is... uh..." Lily sighed in disappointed. "You don't even know what this-"
"I'm not sure if this place has a name, probably Hinamizawa something."
I opened the doors and a few students looked at us funny. "Excuse me? Are you the new students?"
A teacher with short blue hair stood before us. "Yes, we are. We just moved into Hinamizawa yesterday." I lied... obviously.
"That's strange, I didn't hear about any new residents."
Lily looked at me, hoping for me to make another excuse. "Well, we are here anyways. Is class already started.
Chie introduced herself and took us to a classroom. I looked around for anyone I recognized from the series.
"Why don't you two introduce yourselves." Chie suggested. As I was about to start, I noticed a pair of eyes staring dead at me.
It was Rika Furude. It only took two seconds for her to realize something was off. "My name is Echo Raine and this is Lily Liela."
"Those names sound foreign, what country are you from."
"Uh... Paris." Lily smacked her forehead. "I'm sorry, but isn't Paris a city?"
"Oh, I meant France. We used to live in the city of Paris."
"Well, go take a seat then." Lily took a seat beside Rena Ryūgū. I was forced to take a seat by Rika. She was smiling, acting like everything was fine.
The bell rang, and a few hours passed. I tried sneaking out of the classroom with Lily. Finally, I opened the door and... thump! A bucket hit me in the head.
"Ohoho!" That laugh, it couldn't be! I was pranked by Satoko Hōjō. "We have a game for you two to play, nippah!" Rika shouted cheerfully.
"Mion, we brought two new members!" Satoko explained. "Oh, now we have enough members for our new card game."
The two others at the table, excluding Rena, was Mion Sonozaki and Keiichi Maebara. "Lily, we really need to get out of here."
"Why? This was a slice of life anime, right? ...right?"
"Nope, we are actually going to die if we don't get out of here."
"Oh my god. We are absolutely screwed."
Mion brought over a deck of playing cards. "We have interesting rules in this club. If you lose, we get to make you do whatever we want."
We lost, of freakin course we did. This group alone had months, maybe years of experience in simple card games.
In all honestly, I actually thought Keiichi was going to lose. He was always the victim of these games.
"This is your fault, Echo." We were forced to walk around town in mascot outfits while people knew we lost the game.
"Oh Lily, did you look at the calendar?"
"Yeah, it said June 20."
"Wait, the festival is already over? Oh shi-"
I woke up in a room full of corpses. I heard the sound of someone swinging a baseball bat down the hallway.
Lily was still unconscious. Rika was petrified in the corner. I still didn't know who even went insane.
I tried using my magic. Nope, didn't work in this world. I wormed my way towards Rika. She peeled the tape off my mouth.
"Um, who is it this time?"
"It's...Chie. She already-" I saw the others in the pile. Rena, Mion, Keiichi; they were dead. Oh come on, this never happened! What caused Chie to freak out?
Chie entered the room chaotically laughing. She ran towards me with the bat. It was headed straight into my skull. Pause.
Everything froze around me. "What in the world are you two doing?" Lily woke up. "Echo, you entered the TV again!" Yume shouted.
"Again?" Lily's face explained her disappointment. "Okay, maybe this did happen before. It wasn't in this anime though."
Yume pulled us both out and turned off the TV. "You both are banned from watching TV. Next time, make sure it's not a horror anime; for the love of god, you both are stupid!"
