So, I made many (three) maps for this with different levels of... zoomed-out-ness, but I think this is still my favourite. It's a zoomed in map! still a map. i think. 218Please respect copyright.PENANAyXnnfRlMqM

THE STORY OF THE PLACE
(this takes place before... everything modern.)
A boy is lost in the wilderness. Then (dun dun DUN) he finds this little cove. There's a house there! He can see a flickering torch-light, but he doesn't dare go inside. But, if he stays until the owner leaves, maybe he can steal some food and supplies! So, he skirts around the house and hides in the bushes up from the house, on a tiny little island. He waits, but the owner does not leave the house for days! He pitches a tent he finds in his backpack.
This is the first house he had found after days of walking; he could not afford to wander off and hope to find another.
One night, at sundown, he sees a figure leave the house with a pack. Finally!
The owner never returns, so the boy opts to stay. He stays for a long time, accumulating more belongings and crafting more things for his house.
One day, he sees a boy slip by his house and head up (across a newly-felled tree) to the now-big bushes. Maybe it's his turn to live here and make it his own.
No! He can't leave! He's built a life here! Who is this boy to come and take it from him? He remains inside for days, refusing to leave. The peeping eyes in the bushes don't know he's watching them too.
After a few days, he comes to terms with it. This boy is just like he was; he would starve without living here.
So, the man-once-boy packs a small bag and leaves. The new boy moves in.
He grows up ... etc ...
