Hi my name is Heather Fields, and I am a demigod. I know that sound insane and before you run away screaming let me explain... ok?
I had a great life. The perfect family everything a 5 year old could want. My stepdad was chief of police, my mom a high profile lawyer... and me? I was the problem child, the one who "destroyed" things, the one who caused babysitters to go nuts. The day I went into kindergarten, August 21 there was a shootout during a drug bust, and my dad was there. When I got home from school my dad wasn't home. He was always there.
My mom sat me down, " honey I need to tell you something... daddy's not going to come home anymore. Ok?"
that was the day my perfect world started to crumble. First we moved to a small apartment on the other side of town. I transferred schools. My mom got a new job. By the time I turned 6 my whole world was on its head. I was getting in more trouble in school. Wherever I went there were monsters pretending to be humans. I was so scared.
By the 3rd week of first grade I only had to breath wrong to get sent home. One day I came home and my mom was on the living room floor. When I tried to wake her up, her skin was ice cold. She didn't wake up. I called the cops. When they arrived they put my mother in a body bag. I overheard them talking. One of them said I killed her. Another said that I was dangerous. I carefully crept out of the apartment and ran. I ran until I collapsed. I was alone in a city. I didn't have anyone. I had nowhere to go. I huddled in an alley all night. When I saw the sun rising I got up and started to walk. Sometime around midnight it had started to snow and I was freezing. I was walking down the street when a man came up and talked to me, he told me his name was Jordan and that he could help me. I still don't know why, but I trusted him. Maybe, it was the sense he knew something important. He brought me inside a small café and bought me a hot chocolate.
He said, " I know this is really weird but you are not a normal child, you are a demigod."
You would think that I would freak out and run away but a desperate 6 year old will believe anything. "Really, I am!? What does that mean?"
" well a demigod is a kid, like you, who has a human for one parent and a Greek god for another. You are half god." He explained.
I stared in amazement. "Are you a god?!"
Jordan looked down at me with a smile "no I am a demigod like you. Being a demigod is dangerous. If you can make it to camp half-blood, then you will be safe." he handed me a coat then left. Once again, I was alone. I did the only thing I could. I put on the coat and started walking. I still don't know why but I walked east. I got out of Denver that day. I never looked back.
Weeks later I was sitting on the shore of a river in Indianapolis. I knew that I needed help. A week earlier, a monster had cornered me. I managed to get away, but it had ripped my leg up and I was sure it was infected. I was so scared. I didn't know what I was doing. Hours later when I looked up, I saw a man walking toward me. I quietly crept behind a tree in case he was going to try to eat me.
He came around the tree, he stared at me and said. " You’re a demigod aren't you? Well come on we need to get moving my name is Linden I'm a satyr. Eat this, it will heal your leg" he handed me a lemon square. I put it in my mouth. It tasted like the soup my dad used to make.
"So you wont eat me?" I mumbled around the weird food"That’s highly unlikely considering I'm vegetarian. You need a weapon. Take this sword. Now come on." I limped along behind him for hours when we finally stopped. I collapsed to the ground. I managed to gasp out "where are we? How close are we?"
He thought for a minute and said "we're around 780 miles from camp. Now get some sleep. You need rest." Weeks later we were walking when I noticed the date, May 25, on a sign. "Today is my birthday. I’m 7..." Linden turned around "Its your birthday..." he was staring above my head. "you’re being claimed!"
I looked up to see a hint of blue fade into nothingness "what does 'being claimed' mean?"
He looked down and met my eyes "being claimed is when your godly parent shows you and the people around you that you are their child. Congrats, your dad is Poseidon. Now let’s get moving, only another 200 or so miles. We will get there in about a week."
a week later we were walking through a thick forest, I kept hearing weird sounds and Linden said he smelled a monster. I knew we had to be close to camp. I saw a huge hill through the trees. Suddenly a huge black shape jumped out in front of us we turned to run and another appeared. We were cornered. The monster grabbed Linden and shook him I heard a sharp crack and Linden transformed into a tree inside its mouth. I screamed. Even though I had no idea how to use it, I drew the sword that Linden had given me I charged the monster. Suddenly I was fighting a giant dog. What seemed liked moments later, the battle was over. I turned around and saw a girl around 16 standing there.
“Hey are you from camp Half-Blood?” I whispered.
“ Yes I’m Zoë.” She replied.
"Great I’m Heather. My dad is Poseidon. My friend, Linden, just turned into a plant and my mom is dead and I'm so scared please help me..." All the tears I had been holding back burst out.
The girl came up to me "Hey, it’s ok, you’re safe now. Let’s get you to camp. Come on." she hugged me and helped me up. She led me up the hill. I looked down on the place I had been searching for for so long, and knew I was home.
Even now the tree still stands and the tiny apartment in Denver is empty.

I have to admit, even after the day I’ve been having falling into a muddy pit while being chased by empousai still sucked. I mean sure, almost being lit on fire, being stabbed, and getting chased down by Hellhounds, is not fun but did the gods really need me to fall into a mud pit? Well I fell headfirst. Next thing I know, I'm looking up at a bunch of empousai that are debating over the best way to rip me to shreds.
"Ladiesss, clearly the besst way iss to grab the armss and legss and pull."
Then the other one said, " you’re wrong! We sshould jussst slasshh her to bitsss...."
Have you ever hit your head hard enough that every thing is funny? Well I did. I couldn't help but burst out laughing.
"You guys sure about that?” I laughed, “You could also hang me upside down by my toes. But if you even tried, I would have to send you right back where you came from!"
I realize now that doing that was one of the worst things I could have done.... but at the time.... they looked at each other.
"Fine" they smiled "We will hang you upside down by your toes."
I felt for my sword but couldn't find it. I franticly looked around but I couldn't find it. I hate to admit, but I thought it was sad I was going to die without ever going on a quest. I was 14 and hadn't left camp in 7 years, my second time outside of camp and I’m going to die. I backed up to the side of the pit, praying to the gods that something would save me. They climbed down the sides. I felt cheated. I didn't want to die. I felt around the wall behind me. Nothing. I looked around me and saw a rock about the size of a softball. I backed up more and pretended to slip. I grabbed the rock and came up swinging. I hit the lead monster so hard that it slammed into the other wall before turning to dust. I whipped the rock toward the other but she was expecting it. The rock missed her by inches. The momentum dragged me with it. I turned to see the empousai coming toward me. I smacked her in the ribs and scrambled up the side. I sprinted (limped) away. I heard crashing over to my left. I ducked behind a tree. the foot steps came closer I gripped the rock ready to attack. the foot steps were right next to me. I swung the rock full speed toward... a kid. I tried to stop the rock. luckily I missed by centimeters. the girl stared at me. "did you almost hit me?" she asked innocently. " Es! who are you talking to?" I turned and saw the head of hades cabin running up. the girl looked over. "i believe her name is, Heather right?" I looked at her "yeah i'm heather nice to meat you. sorry I tried to kill you with a rock but I was being chased...." "well" said the hades kid " nice to meet you i'm Elysia and this is Esperanza but call her Es." I looked at both of them. I came up from the canoe lake and saw Elysia waving me over. I waved goodbye to the naiads and went to see what she needed.
“Hey Elysia what’s up.” I asked.
“Chiron needs to talk to Es and us. Now.” She started away.
“Wait! Why? What ever it is I didn’t do it!”
“Don’t worry I’m sure its nothing bad. Es is already there so we have to hurry.”

All I could think about was the conversation I had with Zoe and Leon Adlaer last year....

“Zoë! Leon!! You’re back!!” I exclaimed.
Zoë smiled “yep we are! Nice to see you kid, everything ok?”
“No ones been giving you trouble right? Cause Leon Adlaer won’t stand for that!” Zoë said.
Leon put on his ‘tough’ face
“No, I haven’t been made fun of! And have you seen anything about me getting to leave camp?” I asked.
When they are together - Especially touching - they have slight physic abilities, mostly feelings but sometimes pictures or sounds. They looked at their hands.
Zoë put her hand on my shoulder; she only does that when she’s worried. “Heather be patient, Train hard. Learn. Your chance will be soon. Pray that you’re ready.”

I had trained harder than ever before, in the last year. Es and Elysia had told me I need to calm down more than once, but I don’t think they get how badly I NEED to get out and do... something. It doesn’t have to be something big! I don’t want the ‘whole save the world, everyone’s fate rest on you shoulders’ just a short trip outside. Godly grocery shopping, sell strawberries, go to an art gallery...

As we passed the cabins Es came running out to meet us. We got to the big house and Chiron showed us inside.
“Ok girls. The reason I called you here is because it is about time you go on a quest...” he kept talking but I missed it all. Holy Hephaestus! A QUEST!!
“... So you need to go talk with Rachel Dare. To get a Prophecy. You will leave in the morning.” We walked out.
“Guys hurry up! We need to get there as soon as possible!!” I said as I sprinted away.

I made it to Rachel’s cave in 3 minutes, and had to wait for Es and Elysia. When they arrived we went inside.

Next to Connie - the Sword trainer - Rachel is the oldest Human/ Half-Blood at camp, - disclaimer - she is only 29. We walked in and saw her sitting on a painted stool, sculpting a pot.
She turned and smiled. “Hey I’m guessing you’re here for a prophecy? Well sit down. Sometimes it takes a while.”
She led us further back to a couch. After we sat for a while in awkward silence. The air changed, I looked at Rachel. One second she was just a normal person. The next, she had glowing green eyes and green smoke swirled around her.

Just as suddenly she was back to normal. We all stared at her.
“Well what did I say?” She asked.
We looked at her. I told her what she had said word for word.
“Humm sounds important you guys better go pack. I think you will be gone for quite a while.” She thought.

Since I wasn’t sure what to bring I packed pretty much everything I owned. My alarm went of and I walked to dinner. Apparently everyone had heard about the prophecy. As I walked in they stared at me like I grew a second head. So I hurried out. I tried to go to sleep but what I ended up doing was staring at the cabin ceiling. I got up and went out to the Beach....

The next morning I woke up with my face in the sand. First thing I though ‘HELP!!! SAND MONSTER!!’ I’m not really sure if there is a sand monster but you know. I pretty much jumped backwards. I looked around in confusion. Then I remembered where I was. Looking at my watch, I realized I was late for breakfast. I ran there as fast as I could.
As I sat down Harper, my half sister, looked up. “Where were you? And is that, sand?”
“Well I couldn’t sleep last night so I went to the beach and I guess I fell asleep.”
We finished up and walked to the cabin. I grabbed my stuff and started to the door.
Then Harper stopped me. “Good luck Heather. Be careful” Harper gave me a hug.
“Thanks Harper. See you soon I hope?”

In a couple of minuets I arrived at Half-Blood Hill. As I walked up I notice that Es and Elysia were already there. They were standing with my half cousins Xander and Hannah and my friend Red.
“Hey Heather! We came to say bye!” Xander yelled.
“YEAH SO HURRY UP!!!” Red screamed down.
I sprinted up the hill. I gave them all hugs “Bye guys I’ll miss you! See you when we get back.”
Hannah looked at me “you promise?”
I thought for I second. “I Heather Fields, swear on the river Styx that I - IF possible you will be the first people I talk to when – IF I get back. Is that good enough Hannah?”

We set off down the hill, walked about forty feet into the forest and realized we had no idea what to do. Well after wondering what to do, we saw what looked like a glowing deer. Knowing that animals don’t usually glow and that a deer is not likely to want to eat us, when it acted like it wanted us to follow it... we did.

Around noon it lead us into a clearing. We stepped in and saw a bunch of girls dressed in silver - the Hunters of Artemis. Artemis stepped forward. Sorry my story is getting long and this is a journal entry so I will just sum up what she said. “Go talk to my idiot brother he is at Sunset roller Skating rink at 1408 west boulevard” We did what she said and set off toward the Skating rink.

All that happened after that, was one thing that was kinda embarrassing. Well it is about 6 in the morning on our second day. Nothing of interest really happened while I was on watch. Now I have to wake the others up we are getting close to the Skating Rink.

Just then Elysia walked into camp. “Great you’re up lets pack up and move.” I really did not want to. Apollo told us to go to the underworld, and it is a long walk to the nearest portal into it. The rest of the day we walked, while Es and Elysia quietly talked, I thought about the prophecy. A while later I heard a clicking sound. “Guys do you hear that?” They nodded. I gestured for them to get their swords out. We spread out. I walked toward the noise. The clicking stopped and I froze. A scream exploded into the air just as a gigantic Scorpion jumped out and tried to spear me. Es Intercepted the tail and Elysia went to chop off the tail. “Cover me, I think I can get rid of it!” Elysia yelled as it crawled toward her. She closed her eyes as I ran up and started slapping it with my sword -I couldn’t cut through the skin- it turned toward me and started to attack. I backed up knowing I couldn’t beat the thing. “Elysia? Any time now!” My back hit a tree. The thing hissed lowly like it was laughing. I closed my eyes. I didn’t want to see the stinger coming. “Guys I don’t get it. There are no tracks but the ones where we fought the thing and where it was hiding, and they’re all fresh…. It’s like it just… appeared.” I looked over, and ok I know what I said sounded nuts but they could have at least pretended to understand, anyway they were staring at me like I was crazy. “Well what do you think happened? It fell out of the sky landed there, without damaging any trees or bushes and leaving almost no foot prints, and attacked us? Guys you’re not stupid. That night we were sitting around the campfire, I was controlling the water from my bottle, Es was talking to someone over an Iris message, or Iris’s top helper, and Elysia was talking to a ghost. Then things got weird. Usually faces don’t show up in fires but that night one did. She looked into my eyes, then turned to Es and Elysia and did the same and spoke. “Erebus is rising you must stop him, One of you will never see your camp again. Hestia, or I think it was she, disappeared without another word. At that point I got worried I couldn’t live with myself if one of my best friends got hurt or… worse. I swear on the River Styx I will do anything in my power to get them back to camp safely.

I am in the underworld I think. We were in a forest somewhere in Illinois. We were quietly walking when the ground started to shake. I was about 20 feet behind the others after tying my shoes when a huge crack split the ground. I ran trying to reach them before the crack split us up but I wasn’t fast enough. Right as I took a step the ground beneath me disappeared. “Guys! Help!” I tried to grab on to anything but there was nothing there. I could tell it was a long fall so I searched around for something to slow me down. That was when I remembered I had some rope in my back pack. I pulled it out along with my bedding hoping I could make some kind of cushion of parashoot any way long story short it was a long fall and landing almost killed me and completely trashed my bedding which sucks. B anyway the landing was one of the ones where you curl up in a ball for a while afterward. A while later I managed to look around. There wasn’t much to see. In the distance I could see the glow of a big fire there seemed to be a big cliff about a mile away from me. But other than that there was nothing interesting. I stumbled toward the cliff because it seemed like the best option. I walked for what had to have been hours but I got nowhere.

I walked for hours and I think I am closer to the cliff. I have to hurry, I am pretty sure there are monsters following me. And this place seems to suck the life out of you. I can still see the fire. And I came across what looked like the remains of some clothing. It looked like the jacket Es was wearing the last time I saw her. It was completely shredded. Something bad is coming. I don’t know what happened but I was walking and suddenly there was a voice in my head. “Give up half-blood. You and your friends shall never stop me. I shall rise! My brother will never again hold the power of the skies!” Whoever this was it they sounded like bad news. “You will never rise!” Darkness shall rise…. Oh gods this guy was Erebus a primordial god. “We will stop you Erebus! I swear it on the River Styx you will not win.” A force shoved me backwards, I fell. “You Can NOT WIN! FOOLISH GODLING! YOU SHALL NEVER DEFETE ME.” A dark dagger appeared in front of me. “THIS DAGGER WILL STAY WITH YOU WHEN YOU ADMIT DEFETE IT WILL END THE FIGHT.” The force disappeared. The dagger is weightless. I have it in my backpack and Erebus told the truth I threw it away and it appeared back in my pack. I can feel waves of misery and evil pulsing off it. We are at the bottom of the cliff now and there is no way up. I kept walking and thought I saw figures in the distance but it is hard to tell. Everything down here is so blurry. I continued to walk for ages eventually I looked up and saw a river of fire right in front of me. I thought I heard someone shouting my name. I turned around looking for the person calling out to me. I saw a figure running up. “Heather! Oh My Gods! We thought you were dead! Well… you look like you are.. OH! You have to come quick Es is hurt.” She grabbed my arm and dragged me back the way she came. After a while we got back to Es. She was laying on the ground. She looked asleep. I looked at her and wanted to scream. Something had ripped her side to shreds. I dropped down beside her ignoring the razor sharp rocks and gave her my last bits of nectar and ambrosia. Her eyes opened. “Heather? When did you get here?” I practically sobbed in relief. “Es Thank gods you’re ok. Elysia found me and brought me here.” I reached into my bag and pulled out the dagger……...........

September 21 (I really hate rocks)
So if you recall in my last entry we were stuck in Tartarus, we are out now and heading to our deaths but more on that later. First off…. I reached into my bag and pulled out the dagger.
“Guys when we fell down here we got separated right well when I was wandering around in the dark… I think I ran into Erebus he said ‘Give up half-blood. You and your friends shall never stop me. I shall rise! My brother will never again hold the power of the skies!’ guys I think we are supposed to raise Ouranos he was god of the sky after all…” I stopped.
Es pulled out a fortune cookie, “I got this from Nemesis, and I don’t think we should use it. She is the goddess of revenge. Everything she gives you has unintended consequences.”
We both looked at Elysia wondering if she got anything. She pulled out a vile full of golden liquid. “I found Rhea and she gave me this. I guess it’s her blood she said I need to pour it on the ground at Omphalus which is somewhere near Kopaida Greece. She said something about it leading me there but we are kinda stuck here so….” Not knowing what to do we got up and walked.
By the next day we were getting desperate. If you haven’t been in Tartarus you can’t really know. Take your worst night mare and times it by a hundred, it is worse than that. Anyway as far as any of us can tell we had been there for a week, and wondering around in the dark where the air burns you is not fun. It was Elysia who finally said what we were all thinking. “Guys we have to get out of here now, this place is killing us.” But there was nowhere to go at all. I suggested we climb the cliff next to us because going up had to be better than staying where we were. Turns out that the rock making up the cliff is practilly glass. After trying to climb and only hurting ourselves Es suggested that we stop for a while. We spent the next three days walking.

“Well I have a drachma and a pretty much empty water bottle.” I thought back to when we were sitting around the camp fire and I let all my water drop on the ground when Hestia popped up. I looked at Elysia “do you have any water?”
She dug through her bag. “Ahh! Yes half a bottle! But how do we make it into a mist?”
I won’t bore you with the details but we settled for squirting it out of 1 bottle into another and making a very small mist, then we turned on Es’ flash light and made a rainbow with her prism.

We waited, an image appred. “Guys take my hands or we you can’t get through”
We stepped through and the world went black.
I woke up in a grassy field with a pounding headache. “Ughh what happened? Are we safe?” Elysia looks as confused as me.
“Sorry I didn’t warn you about that guys. As far as I can tell, when you rainbow travel – what we just did – you travel at the speed of light. If you’re not ready it can knock you out. On the bright side we are out! Anyone up for a burger? I can see a town about a mile away and I am hungry.”
We dug through our pockets and came up with 65 dollars and 14 cents that would be useable. When we got into town we found a small café with great hot chocolate. I got up to try and wash some Tartarus off me in the bathroom. On the way back I saw a calendar.
“Guys… we have been gone for three months.” They gasp.
“We have to contact camp, like, right now.” Elysia digs in her pocket for change. “I have a drachma I am going to try to iris message camp and tell them what happened they should be at camp fire right now.” She got up and left.
Awhile later she comes back. “Guys we got lucky they were going to burn our shrouds if we didn’t contact them in the next week.” She frowned.
“Guys clearly we need to talk about the prophecy
They shall plunge into the bottomless Maelstrom,
Resolutely recovering the unrecoverable divinity,
Darkness shall rise,
Sea, wealth, or light, shall depart,

Lest the world be torn apart.
Well Maelstrom means chaos right so the first line is about us getting dumped in Tartarus, and Oronos must be the unrecoverable divinity, Darkness id Erebus. The last two lines are super clear. But….” I stop. I don’t want to be the one who says it.
Es puts on a fake smile. “Yeah well not that we have the prophecy completely figured out we are good! Let’s go we can make it to Omphalus by tonight.” We all got quiet I guess we wanted to leave some things unsaid. That lasted a good 20 minutes.

Elysia took the lead, she said she knew where we were going because the blood was acting like a magnet.
Ok so I am running out of paper and will be switching over to a voice recorder I bought in that little town. That and it is almost 2 in the morning and I need to sleep.

Hello? Is this working? Well if it is not that sucks. To pick up where I left off on paper. So Rhea’s blood acts like a magnet and it is currently leading us to the exact spot where Zeus’s umbilical chord fell. Gross. Anyway when we get there I guess we dump the blood on the spot and that will rise ournos who will precede to beat the tar out or Erebus. If we don’t get there soon Erebus will rise up and destroy the gods with his primordial god powers or something. We still have about an hour until we get there. Well we walked for another three hours before making camp for the night which is when I wrote that last journal entry. At this point we have been walking for nearly 5 hours, nothing interesting happened just a short encounter with some angry grain spirits. So we know that something big and nasty is waiting for us because we can hear it screeching and roaring. Whatever it is its not friendly. Anyway I am turning this off for a while because we are basically caught up.
Ok so we can see whatever it is. It is around 160 feet long, has big yellow eyes, and is dark red. What I don’t get is why isn’t it trying to eat us yet? I mean, if we can see it, it can smell and see us. “Umm guys the blood is leading us right at that drakon.” Elysia said that.

So we were super close to the drakon. It got up and crept toward us. You could smell the poison that was dripping from its scales. So swords don’t work on it they just glance off its scales. Its eyes were clearly the only spot to hit. I grabbed small rocks and threw them at its eyes, Es broke out her sling shot and shot rocks and bits of wood at it. I am going to sum this up because my through is getting sore.
We fought for a good hour. Finally Elysia realized that we could get its eyes with swords. Es distracted it Elysia got the right eye, it made a sound I have never heard before and hope I never hear again. I moved back over behind it. I managed to get its left eye the thing started to screech. Its head hit the ground Elysia and I grabbed our swords and stabbed as far into its eyes as we could it screeched one last time and trashed around. Then it started to dissolve we stumbled away. “Well that could have good better right guys?” they agreed. As a group we walked through the monsters ashes to the spot where it had sat.
Elysia looked at us. “You guys ready?”
I nodded and es said yes. Elysia uncorked the bottle and dumped it on the ground….

Due to what happens this one was going to be in 3rd person first person but that just doesn't flow right so it is going to be first person ignoring the fact will make no logical science at some very important parts. (Also sorry about the weird kind of past tense kind of present tens in the last story)

The blood hit the ground. Elysia, Esperanza and I looked around for something to happen. What was left of the drakon sizzled, the wind blew, parts of melted sword burned the grass nothing moved. Everything was calm. “Guys did we do something wrong were we suppo-“Elysia stopped and stared at the huge cloud formation that suddenly developed in the sky. Think a mix between a hurricane and a tornado but way meaner and so big that Manhattan could fit in it. The wind picked up and the sun dissappred. Laughter echoed around. The cloud touched the ground. The earth heaved, it rolled like waves in a storm. A man appeared. Have you ever seen those creepy surrealism paintings where you can see all the muscles? It was like that but as he walked toward us, clouds swirled around hum building a body. And before anything got awkward the clouds made a suit that looked like the sky. Light blue at the bottom fading to black at the top. His eyes were striking blue, his hair was jet black with white flecks. We stared. We did it we raised a god. He stopped and laughed. “So you are the half-bloods who raised me?” we nodded. The sky darkened. He narrowed his eyes and raised his hands. “To bad.” Chains of darkness fell from the clouds. He shot one at Elysia grabbed her by the neck and lifted her high into the air. “You fools. There is a reason the titans chopped me up. I will rule again.” Everything durnned black as ink. That sickly smooth voice from Tartarus spoke. “Brother. You are awake. Welcome back.” A dark form materlized from the clouds. Erebus stood next to Oronous. His dark suit sucked in all of the light his eyes were stark grey his hair was darker that night. I reached for my sword but it was melted. Erebus made spears of darkness. “So brother shall we destroy the gods or there miserable children first. Ouranos looked thoughful. “Let us put these children out of their misery first.” Erebus started throwing his dark spears at us. Ouranos threw Elysia. I scrambled to find a weapon of any kind even a rock. The dagger. I ripped my back pack open and grabbed it. It drew my hand to my arm and cut me. As soon as my blood touched it, it started to morph into smoothing else. “What the crap! Oww that hurts” It stopped changing. Whatever it was had a long curved blade of bronze. Et spewed evil feelings. I could feel the power in this weapon, I stepped forward and raised it. Time slowed around me I felt like I was moving a billion miles a minuet. I raced forward and slice through the chain holding up Elysia and sliced a darkness spear out of the air before it hit Es. I turned toward Ouranos. Erebus somehow knew I was coming and threw up a cage of darkness. I could feel myself weakening. The cage started to get smaller and smaller I sliced my way out I finely reached Ouranos. He summoned more chains. He swung them like whips. “You will not defeat me. The last time that cursed blade touched my skin four titans held me to the ground. Now not even a god stands in my way. Even now the blade saps your life.” He swung a chain. “You cannot defeat me.” I dodged the chain. I could feel my energy running out. I couldn't keep fighting much longer I had to end this. Bright white light surrounded me “You will be blessed, Throw the scythe at Ouranos, It should kill him.” That was the worst haiku I have ever heard. Apollo. I must have the blessing of Apollo. I realized that everything was blurry. Es ran over to me as I collapsed. I heard her saying something about light and travel. That’s when I passed out. “Where are they? We did it we beat the prophecy Sea, wealth, or light, shall depart we all made it back.” I tried to sit up but I couldn't move. I tried harder. Chiron put his hand on my shoulder. “Please rest. I will go get Es. She will explain.” When Es came in I could tell she had been crying. Xander came in right behind her. “Heather, Elysia is in really bad shape.” She sobbed, Xander grabbed her hand. “And when you used the scythe it sucks out your life, and you were using it for so long.” I struggled to sit up. “Es it going to be ok.” I am so tired. I can feel my eyelids falling. Es grabs my hand and squeezes, I don’t squeeze back.
Chiron picks up a torch. “Before we burn the shrouds I would like to ask their closest friend to speak.” Es stood up and walked to the front of the amphitheater. “They were amazing friends and even better people. The world is a worse place without them but a better place for their sacrifice. They were heroes. They saved the world without a single thought of running away. I am proud to have known them.” Chiron handed her the torch. “Goodbye. This was my fault I should have never opened that fortune cookie” The shrouds went up in blue and purple flames.
