From writer : This is based on my book ' THE PAGES AHEAD ' set in the world war 2 period. Letter is written by a swiss royal to his beloved grand duchess Olga during the time of home arrest. Can't elaborate more on the story without giving it away.
Dear Olga,
I pray that you are safe. I'm trying to find contacts. Don't worry I'll get you and your family out of this alive. Just stay strong for me. Please tell me if they try to harm you or are plotting to. I'd bet there in a few days. Living only some miles away at a friends house.
The world outside is a mess. Father says this war would the worst thing humanity would ever see. But I'm sure it'll be okay. We will be fine and soon would go home. Our home is even more beautiful than last summer. The rose beds have taken over the back porch. The gardens remind be of the book ' The secret garden'. I wish you could be there. It would be just like last summer. Tea parties and balls. I could finish that portrait of yours. And maybe we could plant some new roses , I will let you plant the pink ones this time.
Just promise me you will look after yourself, stay out of trouble and just don't f×××ing die. I love you, Olga. Wish I had told you that before ' a million times. The empty hallways haunt me. Can't handle these nightmares. They keep me up all night. Its the same always. Them pointing those damned guns and. I can't. Olga just be okay.
Remember I will take you away from this. We will go home. Remember I love you , even though we are apart. With every piece of my soul.I love you.
