Spend your whole life looking for your Plus One,

find them and then life begins.

What is it about our Plus One

that makes the world so great?

Why, every film, every song,

A whole day for Plus One,

but not any one for ourself?

This cannot be society's fate.

A Plus One doesn't make you one plus one,

It's suddenly you plus one,

bigger, smarter, ready for anything,

making us without One just weak and dead.

Lose your One and life is over,

hope all gone, social life at an end,

spending day after day after day

trying to reconnect fate's dead red thread.

Somewhere along the line, we made a mistake.

A Plus One does not define.

Just one friend on life's great path

but how could we be so blind?

You might lack a Plus One, kid,

but like an arrow you'll fly.

You don't want a Plus One,

and I'll promise you'll be just fine.
