I was walking down the stairs when my mother bumped into me. I bowed my head repeatedly, saying sorry. She looked at me with disgust.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?!" She snarled.
"I-i'm so sorry, ma'am. I am so so so so sorry!" I begin panicking.
She grabs me by my hair, pulling me down the stairs. She brings me down to the basement to all the tools and hunting gear.
"Mother, please! I-i'm sorry!" She gave a nasty smirk and began the abuse.

Everyone had been called down to the main pack house for an assembly. I was walking around serving snacks and drinks while my mother, the Luna, spoke.
"Everyone, everyone! I have finally made the decision for who's to be the next leader of the pack!"
You could hear the hush that fell over everyone as the Luna spoke.
"The next Luna of the pack will be... Lexi Harrington!"
My heart shattered, the Beta's daughter! I was supposed to be the next Luna, but the snobby, spoiled rich brat is taking my spot!? I put the drinks and stuff down and went up to my room, packing my stuff.
I ran out into the forest, shifting into my wolf form. I connect to the pack link and wait until there is no more talking.
"I, Angelina Dehlacares, am withdrawing from the Haven Moon Pack." I whimper as I finish crossing the boundary line.
I unknowingly cross into another pack's boundary, but I pass out from blood loss from the beatings I had gotten earlier.
"What should we do, sir? The Alpha won't like this, he's going to be angry with us." A young female voice said.
I whimper as I feel myself getting carried, passing out again.
