Hello, everybody! Welcome to The Result Of Our One Shared Brain Cell, AKA, a blog about the seven book Hunger Games fan fiction spinoff Clovers and MarkTwain2.0 are writing!
About the Authors:
As some of you may know, Clovers and Twain are best friends in real life! They are obsessed with The Hunger Games and coming up with increasingly unrealistic ways to keep characters alive. As a result of that, a couple of years ago their overactive imaginations decided to figure out what happened to Hawaii and Alaska after the destruction of North America and the rise of Panem. This idea was forgotten for a couple years, until the idea resurfaced in their stupid brain cell and they decided to expand upon it.
About the Series:
The idea started with an orphaned girl in Southern Alaska, struggling to survive. One day, she met a male soldier from Panem, sent on a recon mission to the forgotten wilderness. This boy was tasked with finding a poison that could easily be used in biological warfare against the nation of Panem.
This idea was eventually abandoned entirely.
After some intense discussion, it was decided that their main character would be the daughter of Clove and Cato. Go read Lucky Clover for more context (https://www.penana.com/story/116953/district-two-love-story).
Originally, they planned on writing two books, the first about the life Clove and Cato painstakingly built for themselves in Alaska, including many rough patches and tragic moments, but ending with them happily married with two children.
The second book was supposed to follow their teenaged daughter, and what happened to her when she met a rebellious young soldier from Panem and fell for him, despite her parents' prejudice against him.
Eventually, the first book split into two, the first being about their life and romance before the fateful Games, the second about their escape, recovery, and peace of mind.
The second book was split into a trilogy, focusing, not only on the condemned relationship of the Hadley daughter, but also on a rebellion sparked by President Coriolanus Snow's great-granddaughter, Visha Malvolia Snow.
With the help of the sons and daughters of characters you already know and love, including the daughter of Katniss and Peeta Mellark, and the son of deceased, beloved Finnick Odair, our feisty protagonist must face a gauntlet of challenges she never signed up for. What awaits this dangerous, unassuming girl? A trek through the forgotten Canadian wilderness? Attempts on her life by the dashing soldier's elder brothers? Perhaps even an underground rebellion, lead by the conniving offspring of songbirds and snakes.
On top of these five stories, Clovers and Twain are working on a story that will take you to the beginning of the end, watching Panem fall through the eyes of the Mockingjay's daughter. Additionally, they will bring you a collection of stories, told from the points of view of key characters left unexplored in the core series.
This blog will be where you can find exclusive sneak peeks, cover and title reveals, character bios, aesthetics, art, playlist links, Pinterest boards, and more!
Clovers and Twain hope you enjoy The Result Of Their One Shared Brain Cell!
