Do you know the famous line for when two people meet each other for the first time? It goes like this: "... a single glance felt like an entire eternity."
Yeah... Me neither. I just heard about it just now. I was babbling to my friend about a boy I saw who had really nice features and a sharp jawline and I caught his eye for a second and saw his green-blue eyes which are very cool, very nice. While I was describing this potential model to my friend, she stopped me.
"Wait!" she held up her hands in front of my face, "So how did it feel?"
I was confused and replied, "How did what feel?"
"Seeing him. How did you feel? Catching those beautiful ocean eyes~ How was it?" she said in a dreamy tone.
"Uhm. Well..."
I recollected the events. I was in summer camp and we were all divided- boys in the boys' room and girls in the girls' room. I was split from my sister. I felt really bad because I have always been there for her but... she did a good job of handling herself. Back to the topic. The ages were also divided. 13-15 in the north cabins and 16-19 in the opposite cabins. I don't know why or how that was necessary but they did it anyway. Naturally, I went to the south cabins with my brother who was two years younger than me and we had to lie to let him in. I also can't stand him away from me. He's a weak one and gets bullied a lot.234Please respect copyright.PENANADFo4mp5QZF
I was carrying my sister's duffle bag to her cabin when I was stopped by this guard who took the bags from me and said he'll accompany "the sweet young lady to her cabin" which I found extremely suspicious and made me want to take my sister far away from there. But I couldn't. As I was going back, I noticed two very identical people with opposite genders. They both had golden hair. It made me want to take a picture of the two. They're probably twins. I saw the boy carrying a duffel bag for the girl beside him. I was waiting for the guard to stop him but he didn't which I found very unfair which is probably why I stared at him for too long and he looked back at me.
I was momentarily shocked and looked away. Well, at least after catching a clearer glimpse of his well-defined face of an angel. It made me irritated yet fascinated. After that, I never saw him again nor did I ever think of him again until I saw my friend who looked like his sister. While I was describing the sister, my friend asked me about the guy. I said he looked fine and she said, "That's a high praise coming from you."
I do not believe that. And that lead her to push me to describe him more. And now to the present.
She was still waiting for my answer.
"Did it feel like..." she paused in anticipation, "Did the single glance feel like...?" she motioned for me to continue her sentence.
"It felt..." I said. Though I'm not sure what she's expecting.
"Yes? Go on."
"Like a glance."
She suddenly lost her vitality and deflated. "You're no fun. You're supposed to say, 'The single glance... felt like an eternity.'" she said, clutching her heart dramatically. "You know, the thing they say in dramas?"
"I do not."
"Wah~ It seriously didn't feel like anything?"
"Of course, it did." what a ridiculous question. What kind of human doesn't feel anything?
She slammed her palms on the table which made me leapt a little, "Really?!?! What did it feel like??" her excitement returned.
"Like a glance."
She deflated, again, "You're going around in circles."
"But that is what it felt like. I do not lie."
She gave a "psh" and leaned back on her chair, "You emotionless robot."
???
Am I really?
