The simplest greeting you can give to any fellow.
This was born out of a few words stepped in Italian, hard to believe I know.
Or rather don't believe me as I urge you to look behind what it can mean.
For "Hi" can carry more than what is implied, and sometimes meaning is bursting at the seams.
Take for example if you were to raise your hand to wave.
Too quick and it seems like you are scared, not fast enough and it looks like you don't care.
What happens regarding this only becomes clear when you stand before them.
They can be anybody between family members, strangers, and even friends.
The tone of your voice also says a lot.
Too soft and it will become lost, too loud and many will think you lost the plot.
It can also disguise what you are trying to do, or what you are trying to hide.
You could be looking to catch someone's eye, or you may equally be hoping to cause trouble to arise.
It should come as a surprise to you as we have been doing this for thousands of years.
You and I are guilty of doing the same but in plain speech.
Let me teach you the sum of our fears.
We are afraid after the trust we placed in others was misplaced due to this message coming out wrong.
Now you have to resort to only saying "I hate you" with passive-aggressive moments or aggressively passive ways of saying "I love you" in songs.
Regardless of how you want to say it, be sure that it is always genuine.
That comes from a good place and with no ill-intent concealed within.
It's okay for you to wave to the strangers that pass you by.
If one of them waves back, don't be afraid to say "Hi".
