Zanella may be an exceptional young baker, but that doesn't mean she hasn't had her share of culinary catastrophes. When she forgets to write a name on a birthday cake for a pair of twin boys and finds herself face to face with their older brother, the lovely and charming Milo Hewitt, an instant spark ignites between them. Zanella is invited to the celebration, but things take an unexpected turn when the cake is opened, and she is humiliated to realize her error. She disappears from the party.
Will it be enough to destroy her chances with Milo? Will this be the glue that pulls them together? In "The Cake Fail," follow Zanella's sweet and delightful journey as she navigates the ups and downs of baking, mistakes, and young romance.

Chapter 1
"Zanella! Get in here this instant and put the dang cake in the oven." I hear Mom yell from the kitchen.
I am lounging on the soft warm red couch in the living room. I throw the book I had been reading down it lands silently at my side. I get up and dash toward the kitchen. I almost trip on the coffee table.
"Here Mom," I say stepping into the kitchen and grabbing the circle pan filled with my specially requested homemade vanilla cake from the table.
Mom is standing on the other side of the kitchen dividing ravioli dough. She wears a blue apron that reads "Don't Wanna."
I place the cake mix carefully into the 350-degree oven, then set the time for 30 minutes. Perfect to be baked to perfection and frosted amazingly for Aiden and Lukus's party. The best cake they will have ever laid their eyes on.
Turing ten, double digits, for the twins.
I turn back to Mom, who is washing her hands in the sink, and smile, "I'm going to go get ready now."
"Zane you are lucky I'm in a good mood today," Mom says turning away from the sink for a moment.
"I know, I know, I love you Mom and I appreciate you making dinner tonight I will tomorrow I promise." I give her a hug and walk out of the kitchen. It was my day for dinner, Spinach and Ricotta Cheese Ravioli in Tomato Cream Sauce, but baking and then delivering the cake was going to take way too much of my day to make the homemade meal.195Please respect copyright.PENANA1t1UsSC4aG
