In the book series, there are many phrases that the dragons use. For example, some dragon might say, 'Talons and Tails!' This means they are surprised, angry, or exasperated.
The others are pretty simple and easy to understand, this will be updated later, but that's all I have for now.
LOOKS:
In this dragon world, the dragon has NO certain body-type, certain colors, or even scale patterns. Your Oc could be in the wing of storm and have feathers and their sister could have crystal armor plates, it's up to you.

Now sometimes, different dragons in different wings of elements have different adaptations to their habitat or where they live. This means that, if a dragon in the wing of ice had feathers/fur on their body, that would be a 'Primary' gene which I'll explain next. They also look very similar to their element. For example, a dragon in the wing of earth would probably have many plants growing on them and fire would have hot scales ext.
There are different types of 'ranks' in the different elemental wings.
Standard, which would be a common dragon, not very different- which is uncommon.
Primary, which is a unique dragon. This is more common. Being unique, these dragons could look bizarre and look like a whole different elemental wing of dragon, but be one you would never expect, there are no limits.
Unique, being the rarest rank, the unique rank is found only every few generations.
ELEMTAL WINGS:
In dragon language, the word 'wing' is often referred to as the element the dragon possesses and doesn't always mean the wing on their bodies.

Ice- can control ice and snow with their mind and breath sharp shards of ice but cannot control snowy weather/snowstorms.

Water- Can control small amounts of water with their minds and shoot water from their mouth and can control the temperature of the water they shoot

Lava- Can breathe fire and control small amount of it with their mind

Earth- Can control small amounts of earth with their minds and can change the texture of the ground they are standing on.
Storm- Can harness storms and control and harness small amounts of lightning. During very powerful storms, they can harness lightning and shoot in from their mouths. They would also seem super charged.
Fire- Joined with the wing of lava, this is almost like a sub-category but is classified as its own wing due to it not having ALL the abilities of a lava dragon.

-Subcategories-
Subcategories are smaller and lesser versions of the Elemental Wings. If a dragon is in a subcategory, they may have a deformity or maybe nothing would be wrong with them, but two dragons in different wings had a dragling together, then it would be classified as a hybrid of some sort. They may also have a primary gene from their mother or father that makes that element their 'primary'. For example, if a dragon from the wing of storm and lava got together, and their dragonet had more abilities from in the wing of storm, they would be classified as a 'Primary Storm'
