There was a faint ruffling before the castle doors opened, inviting in a large group of people, all dressed differently. Some wore old-fashioned robes, while others were dressed in suits and frilly dresses. Amongst the group one could see a few familiar faces, Panoukla and Thysitou. Everyone was walking towards the giant table, it's length as large as a standard banquet hall to fit over 30 people. At the head of the table, stood Plokinos, wearing diamonds and rubies, with her hair done up in a french braid, and her lips painted rosey red in warm smile.
"Welcome in, please sit at your designated seats, the chairs have your names. Once everyone is ready, dinner will begin with Mothikos leading music, and Pyrkagia starting his speech.'
There was a ripple of conversation through the crowd as everyone flocked to their seats. Once everyone had been seated a white haired deity, with glossy eyes slowly walked to the corner of the room, lifting up a golden harp and sitting down on a chair. Their small fingers lifting to strum the threads as they gently glowed, a harmonious tune singing out to soften the atmosphere. Shui brought out platters, while white velvet mice with lapis lazuli eyes danced across the table, setting the dishes down in front of their guests. Once everyone had begun their meals a tall man, dressed in heavenly robes walked to the head of the table where Plokinos had stood, the clacking of his heeled boots echoing softly on the marble floors.
"Welcome in everyone, and I thank you for your audience here tonight. We have important matters to discuss, given the information the Ponvelle Court has given us. I am Pyrkagia, Deity of War & Peace as you should know, and teacher of your children and disciples."
There were mutters from the seated people as their attention rested on the deity, some still ate while others had paused, their faces expressing some worry. Mothikos, who sat with their harp, lifted their eyes to Pyrkagia, their gaze as the tone of the harp's music shifted to be more serious.
"Hostess of the GRD Commission, Lady Plokinos brought you all in here for a feast, but also a selection ceremony. Taxiotis, from Dynisti's court will serve as a messenger and guide for our selected students. Panoukla, Meristi, Yaino, and Lady Virissa, Queen of the Vyrkola, will be going on this mission."
The briefly mentioned Dynisti, a wolf man who stood 6'7, rose from his seat with his eyes locked onto Pyrkagia as his ears stood upright on his head. His claw-like nails dug into the wooden table and scraped it, causing bits of sawdust to arise. His voice boomed when he spoke, almost immediately showing his canines with hostility,
"You want to send Yaino on a mission with a SEDUCTRESS? Let alone isn't the selection a bit WEAK?"
Pyrkagia crossed his arms and furrowed his brows, although keeping a calm and collected tone.
"First of all, as a deity of loyalty and pride, I would've expected you to have some dignity when speaking go another deity. Second of all, Queen Virissa only has an interest of women. She's so good at her job that she can navigate Earth exceptionally well. I would've sent Kalosyni, a mortal turned deity, but under Mothikos's request they didn't want their husband down there."
Dynisti looked even more angry, his nose scrunched up in a snarl. It was only a few seconds before a beautiful, young woman with golden hair rose from her seat. Her entire attire was red, from her piercing eyes to the lips that were situated in a sly smile. She looked to the wolf deity, shaking her head as her crimson butterfly earrings moved with. Her voice was smooth, and melodic when she spoke, her gaze on the wolf deity.
"I can ensure you I have no interest in killing anyone. I'd rather live my days in more peace than fight with brash deities like you."
Her gaze shifted to Pyrkagia as she kept her smile before continuing,
"Its also beside the fact we were called here on important matters. You know the purpose of the GRD, so if we are being selected, especially me, this clearly won't be a walk in the park. I doubt you want to lose your precious younger brother."
She lowered her head before she sat back down, crossing one leg over the other and eating her meal. Dynisti looked frustrated but he reluctantly sat down, staring at the table. The hall was now eerily silent, where deities glanced to one another. The atmosphere was cut when Pyrkagia cleared his throat, gesturing to Mothikos and speaking,
"By the end of the night, they will be giving the mission details. A seer knows the most on what's happening, so it's only right he supplies the details for our selected adventurers. Mothikos is the one preparing the team as well as their supplies."
Upon being mentioned, the nimble harp player nodded his head and smiled to the deities who looked at him. There were murmurs amongst the residents before Plokinos clapped her hands together to silence them. She furrowed her brows before sighing briefly, walking to a door that was off to the left side of the room.
"I would like everyone to pay attention for a few minutes. The Ponvelle Court's seer, Melko has some words to share concerning the mission."
Once more there was a wave of muttering and hushed whispers as a tall man whose skin was a gray-brown color. He had long white hair, having long horns and tail. He stared at the deities before holding out his hand, a large magical orb forming in his palm. His voice echoed on its own when he spoke.
"The mission that these selected have been chosen for involves the search for a mystical blue flower. As a seer, I'm supposed to predict or tell the future, however due to this artifact I cannot. All I know is that without it in our hold we will face a calamity with humans. What we know of the flower is that it grows on an isolated island that had recently developed to the south of Australia, somewhere in the Great Australian Bight. This flower inherently came from a long-gone deity of course named, Azurial. From what Deity Xing expressed, she was a very troublesome woman and this flower grew from seafoam. Nobody has really studied so we are unaware of its properties so we must bring it in to see what it can cause. Everyone here should know a deity's magical item or artifact, plant or not can still be dangerous."
Everyone sat still and attentive, staring into the magical orb, the mist within it swirling to form a flower that looked almost like a lily, only frosted a light blue with black and white speckles covering its petals and thorns that stuck out at the base. It was only when Mothikos rose that their harp glowed, and three of the strings gleamed, moving on their own but making no noise. They moved to the table, and set it down, their expression gentle but still worried. They then gestured to the orb and then to Panoukla. Pyrkagia nodded, as if understanding what they tried to say before speaking.
"That does conclude our meeting, and the journey preparations will be set up so they can leave by moon rise tomorrow. Panoukla, while the youngest here, will be leading the mission with Virissa serving as a vice commander."
Plokinos had almost immediately smiled before clapping her hands, the familiar velvet mice running across the tables to collect the now empty dishes. The doors to the banquet hall reopened as everyone was indicated to leave.

I must say, when so much tension exists in a meeting there is bound to be some issues reoccuring with these deities.. As rowdy as a dog may be, a woman with grace shouldn't always be trusted either.. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder of course, but I don't doubt things will sort themselves out eventually either forcefully or peacefully... But don't you wonder, dear follower, what exactly are these residents capable of? I'd be quite worried if things went south... I'd rather not get ahead of myself, so here's another piece to the story... 257Please respect copyright.PENANAIDQAOfHntU
