Once, there was a handsome boy transferred at Sumulong Memorial High School in the middle of October 2018. His name is Dean-Charles Chapman. While he roamed around the school one afternoon after enrolling with his mother, there- he met a certain girl who’s the same age as his and her name is Dayana Clarkson. They’re both in their Senior High, Grade 12 and unexpectedly, Charles bullied Dayana right on the spot in their flag ceremony on the second week he transferred. The coincidence is: they’re also classmates and seatmates. They lived a normal life, until Charles committed infidelity. Since Willy was the only one excited to meet his father, he did what her beloved mom wanted since he wants to do it himself too. Dayana just stood there silently and watch little Willy run and hug his guilty father tightly. The mistress beside Charles couldn’t meet her eyes.

And with that simple question, it broke Charles’ heart for his son and wife loves him so much but still found a way to break the family they built so hard. He remained silent and feels guilty hundred times more than before.
Willy then let go of his father and went to his mommy, thinking silence means yes.
“It’s okay mommy! But still I’m excited to play! Can I go outside to play with the other kid patients here?”
Dayana nodded to her son and smiled even though her heart breaks in pieces every minute she contemplates on the situation their family is in. After Willy went out of the room, she then turned to her husband and said this with teary eyes:
“Please fix this mess.” then turns around to follow her son outside. She can no longer contain the pain inside her and doesn’t want to talk to Charles in that moment.
Dayana’s sister-in-law, Laura- though was also ashamed with what her older brother did, stopped her from her tracks, holds her hand and said:

She stopped for a while and looked down.
When she looked up, a lone tear escaped from her left eye. She wanted to answer, but instead- she left the room and followed her son with a broken heart.

She was walking by the wall outside of Fort Santiago and absentmindedly, she held the locket necklace bearing their photo that is the first thing that Charles gave her for the first time in their Senior High. And by crossing the road while shedding her non-stop tears, a ten-wheeler truck accidentally hit her hard. It made her head slam by the road and blood started to seep from her head. Even if she’s already injured, she held the locket tightly in her hands. With her dying breath, she answered her sister-in-law’s question to her.
“I was so strong before, before I loved my husband. But for the past years we’ve been together, he became my weakness. I’m always afraid that I’ll lose him anytime. Any kind of woman would fall in love with him.”
