While the appearance of Maureene happens at school, after school classes, David decided to have a visit to his older brother at his home…
“Yow Bro! You look like shit!” he said as he entered Luke’s room while laughing.
“You better shut up for now; I have no time for silly jests.” Luke said as he was caressing both his temple with both hands while sitting at the right side of his bed.
“You drank all these?” asked David incredulously as he is holding one empty bag of blood. Luke remained silent as David also looks terrified to see other four bags of blood and feels like vomiting when he sees four cans of beer in Luke’s bedside table.

Flashback…
He went driving for hours after Bella gave him another ultimatum and decided to go home only after his gas fuel is low. Although he parked his car in his garage, it’s not in a decent position since he did it in shaken state. He entered his house, went to the kitchen immediately to open the refrigerator and get four cans of beer and four bags of blood and mixed it in a big bottle he just saw lying in the kitchen counter.
And he drowned himself to it to ease his pain.

When David bend down to grab the 1.5 bottle knock down on the floor, stood up, removed the bottle cap and smelled the content of the bottle. He frowned as he scoffed at Luke.
“Don’t tell me you really did think that human blood and human-made beer is a good knock out drink combination?” and yes, he’s definitely disgusted. He put down the bottle at the table then he borrowed a tiffany chair in front of Luke’s study table and sit in front of him. He sighed before he started with,
“I sensed that there’s something bad going on between you and your girl.”
Luke who is currently looking at the floor look up to David, and his brother continued:
“It’s written all over your face and your negative aura’s screaming all around your body.”
Yes, David the classmate whom Bella consulted just this morning because Luke was absent was in reality, his blood-related younger brother. He was a year younger than Luke but managed to study in White Cross Academy with the same year as Luke. The school first questioned his transfer to a higher level than the grade he was supposed to be attending but as the smart one out of the two brothers, he took the acceleration exam then there he goes, he became classmates with his older brother.
Their classmates doesn’t know about this and didn’t ask anything when the school started. They didn’t pay mind to that because all are quite distracted with their looks. Both brothers could pass as models that they became the oh-so-famous Walter Brothers, same last name but ‘not related’, as per what they think it is. And Bella was one of the envied girls who are close to them. They would’ve bullied her if it weren’t for her lovely girl reputation, excellent acting skills, theatre directing skills, and she’s kind so some boys are her fans and are always ready to protect her, though Bella isn’t aware of her popularity. She just couldn’t care less. Oh, and not to forget about this one,
David and Luke, these two brothers are one of the esteemed Princes of Agharta- a hidden kingdom which they are from.

Luke sits straight, though he is looking flimsy after the idiocy he had done. Well, emotions took over his mind and body. Do not include the ‘soul’ thing. They are vampires, not to mention royal vampires. A creature like them doesn’t have soul or spirit of their own and it’s pretty ironic that they still act humane like any other human.
“I love Bella… you know that right?” Luke said but David stayed silent.
“I have given everything to her… everything despite the fact that I know she can’t love me back” he said looking devastated.
“And… I didn’t even get her to love me despite the years and the moments we have together. She didn’t change. She still loves Logan. She never forgot him and that kills me.” Luke said as he shook his head and began to cry slowly. Looking broken and full of hopeless…
“Am I not enough?” Luke said with his shaky voice.
“D-Don’t I… deserve some l-love? from her?” David finally hugged his brother and pats his back. Good thing he’s such a good listener. Luke was not like this before, not when Bella somewhat accepted to be her boyfriend. This is one of the moments that David remains quiet because he knows this is what his older brother needs now. And besides, in his goofy side- he really doesn’t freaking know what to do or say to his brother. He apparently sucks at consoling people around him.
Heck, I don’t have any experience in this kind of thing. If only I knew something, then I should’ve said something instead of hugging this big cry baby here He thought carefully. Of course he doesn’t want his brother to hear it. He still cares for him… it’s just, he never experienced it so he treats it as a joke.
“I can’t remember… t-the countless time I cried… for B-Bella for the last t-thirteen thousand years.” He liked Bella ever since they were five years old… Crying for thousand years seems to be a very unfair punishment for him though he did nothing but love the person who can never love him back even if their lives last forever.
Then suddenly while they were in the room, they didn’t realize that someone already knocked a couple of times at the door. When the main door of the house opened, there Bella stood. She decided to go inside Luke’s house in the first floor together with her servants. That’s when they realized that it was Bella, especially when she called out Luke’s name.
“Luke?”
David almost panicked because Bella is here along with the Filstine oracle and her royal knight. Heck he didn’t even know why he needs to panic at the first place, well since Bella still doesn’t know they’re brothers, might as well hide.
Ahh! Fuck the reason! I don’t want her to know I’m here! David immediately hid inside Luke’s enormous closet with so little number of clothes inside.
What’s the closet’s space for? Hiding place? He really ought to fill this with clothes…
But before closing the closet, he remembered the blood bags and the 1.5 bottle containing the remains of blood and alcohol on Luke’s side table.
“Holy shit-”
He immediately dashed outside with utmost vampire speed to grab them ‘monstrosity’ and then hid again immediately inside the closet. Luke looks like he really couldn’t care less. He didn’t even exert an effort to make himself look presentable in front of Bella. He’s still broken and every little thing doesn’t matter right now.
“Luke?” Bella said as she opened Luke’s bedroom door. Luke didn’t bother to turn and face her. Mary and Jeremy were left at the living room of the house to wait for her.
Bella stopped at her tracks just right in front of his bedroom door because she sensed that Luke might still be in the worst mood because David told her that he’s sick and somehow, Bella has a hint that it’s also because of what had transpired last night. Nonetheless, she wants to try and clear the air between them so she went inside and sat by the chair beside Luke’s bed. They are facing each other now but with the safe distance.
Bella tries to talk but then she also hesitates. She honestly doesn’t know what to do to comfort Luke. She’s also struggling in finding a good topic to open a conversation so she wandered her eyes across his bedroom. Finally, she found a quite plausible topic.
“Your…bedroom is so neat and manly and the house’s interior are also modernized. This is the first time I’ve ever been inside your home” she then laughs a little. “Now that I’ve remembered it, we never tried going inside of each other’s home before right?” she asked, hopefully wishing that Luke will respond.
“Yeah” Luke said flatly, still looking down the floor without even throwing a single glance to Bella ever since she got into his room.
“Uh... yeah we… really didn’t think about that before…” She answers but now, Luke stayed silent again.
“Uhm… you know we did some Drama club activities today after class so I didn’t got here as early as possible so… sorry Luke…” and then again, he remained silent. But still, she tries again.
“You know we ate some snacks before going here… did you eat something like snacks before I got here? If none then I bet you’re hungry… Should I cook some food or prepare any snacks for you? because you know… you don’t look alright right now…” She waits for an answer but still, failed.
Bella now started to struggle about conversation topics again. She started to wander her eyes across the bedroom again then her eyes widen when a 1.5 liter bottle, cans of beer caught her attention lying underneath his bedside table.
In the state of mild shock about the drink, she composed herself and asked Luke with slight raise of voice tone,
“Luke, what is this?!” she pauses, “Are you out of your mind?!”
Meanwhile David, who heard that last question, was squeezing his mouth shut to suppress his laugh inside the enormous black closet, torn between being worried or laughing his ass off.
‘Out of your mind’ she says lol, bro! Come on just talk to her and end your conversation because I’m dying to laugh in here any moment! Hahahahaha!David talks telepathically to Luke.
Just shut it Dave, you’re not helping. Luke replied clearly expressing his bad mood to David.
Luke then still ignores her and instead, he closed his eyes shut, refusing to talk to her that moment.
It’s because of you idiot girl…
“Wha- why- Oh holy fudge Luke answer me! Don’t ignore my questions! Why did you do this?! Is this the reason why couldn’t go to school today? Is this the reason why you look like a different Luke from what I know? Come on Luke please talk to me…” Bella pleaded.
‘It’s because of you idiot girl…’ lol what a drama king. Bro I’m begging you, don’t be a clown now, don’t make me suffer hahahaha! David continues to test his patience.
You know you always had to jest at me at worst possible scenarios? I’m going to throw you out of my window if you don’t stop this. Luke replied with a slight threat.
“No… no... It’s okay Bella, I’m fine. Thank you for worrying about me but I know, I can recover from this, just give me some space to be alone these days. ” Luke finally replied to Bella but with a hint of tiredness in his voice.
Bella looked flatly at Luke; like it’s something she cannot believe hearing.
“Unbelievable, you expect me to not care about you when I’m your girlfriend?” and with that Luke was in the end point of his patience.
“Girlfriend? Bella, girlfriend? Do you know what it means to be a girlfriend? Or Are you really my girlfriend?” Luke then suddenly looks up to Bella’s eyes and gave her the one of the saddest eyes he ever showed to her.
With that statement, Bella has mixed emotions of worry, pain, anger and insult. But what mostly she feels that moment is pain.
“Wha- why are you asking that question? You mean, like- are you trying to say that wait… Are you telling me that I’m not your girlfriend?” Bella asked feeling the pain of being kind of insulted with those questions.
“Are you? Are you really my girlfriend Bella?” Luke no longer can suppress his bitterness towards their relationship set up. He kind of knows that he is only Bella’s boyfriend out of pity, with all that persuasion, all those gifts, promises and begging. And besides, he knows that Bella is still in love with Logan. It’s very present in her eyes and her smile when he talks to him.
“Why are you saying that, Luke? Why are you questioning me like that, like I don’t care about you?” Bella clearly felt pain and frustration at the same time.
“Do you really think care is the only thing I want from you as my girlfriend? You are really forgetting one fundamental thing in any relationship Bella” Luke replied.
“Bella, I need love. Love coming freely from you. You are my girlfriend yet you don’t love me. It’s been how many years since you love Logan don’t you think that I deserve some of your love too when I’m one of the people who genuinely loves and cares for you? Instead of that guy who doesn’t care or love you anymore? Or even talk to you?” Luke explained further.
“Luke… what do you mean by Logan… not loving me.. anymore? Luke what do you mean by that? Are you hiding something from me?” Bella fell silent because those statements coming from Luke caught her off guard. But something is off in his explanation. Luke at the same time calmed himself down to come up with a plausible answer to her assumptions.
“You just heard me giving a wrong Bella, as you can see I’m not in my best state.” Luke reasoned out calmly with slightly showing frustration in order for Bella to believe it.
Bella then understood him. Thinking back, she knows the answer to the question of what he needs the most, and as much as possible, she wants to clear it out for Luke.
“I don’t mean to be rude or offending to you Luke but… you’re the one who insisted on being my boyfriend. I already told you that I can’t give you love. I know I’m giving you false hopes but this is your choice Luke. As harsh as it sounds, I only gave you a chance because you’re always giving efforts for me. I also gave you that chance because believe me, I want to love you too like much more than how I love Logan because I admit Luke, you’re not hard to fall in love with. I want to test the possibility of making myself love you but until now, I haven’t succeeded, not even once. Sometimes I’m thinking that you’re better off with someone else, someone who really deserves all the love, all the care you’ve continuously giving me and my family. I’m really sorry Luke… I didn’t want you to have false hopes but remember that this is your choice. I am trying to cope with the demands of this relationship but I really can’t. I’m trying but I can’t… I’m so sorry Luke.”
It was a really tough decision for Bella to confront Luke like that because truth hurts and Bella doesn’t want to hurt Luke as much as possible but she really wants to stay true to him as to not double the pain he’s already suffering just to give her his love.
Meanwhile David, well he’s all quiet and spacing out inside the closet. But then he talked to Luke telepathically.
Bro… are you hanging in there? That… was pretty personal… I shouldn’t have been here hearing all that. I’m so sorry bro…
Luke didn’t reply for he’s really trying to digest all those statements in his head while looking at the floor like anytime his tears would flow from his eyes.
“I’m so sorry too Bella… I got carried away and forgot about all those things you’ve said to me before you going to be my girlfriend. I’m so sorry to expect that much, knowing that you’re not ready…” Luke replied to Bella while he’s already wiping his tears with his right hand. He couldn’t stop those tears any longer.
Bella then hugged Luke immediately after seeing him like that “Oh no no Luke don’t be sorry please…. I’m sorry too because I can’t love you like how you wanted it… I want to but….. I’m really sorry Luke.” She said while patting his back to calm him.
Luke also hugged back “I’ll try to understand you more Bella… I promise you that for real this time… I’ll wait, until you are ready” he replied.
There and then they just remained silent while hugging each other. It’s really comfortable for them to hug each other so tightly as a sign of making up. It’s feels good to have someone trust you and you trust them too.
Inside the closet, he can see them even behind the closed closet door due to his senses, David smiled slowly as he knew that Luke is now being comforted by the girl he really loves. Without ruining their moment, he closed his thoughts from others who can possibly hear it and said:

Suddenly, David’s eye widened when he felt that some vampires like them are heading into this home so he became alarmed, especially when he realized that the car stopped in front of Luke’s house and recognized that it’s Logan and Maureene that came from it.
Fuck! He cussed inside his head.
Now he struggles whether to destroy the couple’s moment and to tell them that Logan and Maureene is already inside the house without even knocking the door and letting Bella found out that he’s inside that closet all along since she came talking to Luke or just let them be discovered by the two unexpected visitors being slightly intimate with that hug.
Before even processing a decision and action, Maureene already knocked the door and opened it widely as possible.
Oh really? Goodness gracious… he said as he did a face-palm silently as possible. But even though he concealed his presence from Bella, it’s impossible with the two vampires with active senses and abilities.
David came out of the closet after a mind-wracking stillness and quietness to conceal his presence. What he sees now?
Luke and Bella, both away from one another and now looking at the doorway, are startled at the sudden opening of the door which he assumes that they were really preoccupied to sense other people than them and Logan, Maureene and now with Mary and Jeremy have slightly widely opened eyes looking at the two, now back and forth between the three of them as he revealed his presence.
“Great Bro! I, one of the Princes of Agharta visits you, the Exiled Princess, the Oracle and the Royal Knight, and now The Crown Prince and Crown Princess also went to visit you! What a noble visit you had!” David exclaimed not even trying to figure out if he’s pleasant or sarcastic about it.

At the moment, all of them are puzzled with the series of events that has transpired, stood like statues in a museum inside Luke’s house, specifically the part of the house where his bedroom is located.
What an epic turn of events... Mary said to Jeremy telepathically while casting her gaze only to the four people that had been entangled with misfortune ever since the prophecy has been known.
What’s Prince David doing here? She almost raised her right eyebrow.
Jeremy now turned his head to his left where Mary is standing, looked at her and asks with his furrowed eyebrows:
What the hell you’ve been doing for the past minutes we’re here that you didn’t even saw this coming when you’re a fortune teller? This is an epic fail to your talents!
Hey don’t do that face on me, you’re not the only one worried here! And besides, let me remind you that I’m an APPRENTICE ORACLE!, not just some petty FORTUNE TELLER! So do not insult my yet growing capabilities! And to tell you, using my ability like that for almost all the time will drain my energy! In case I collapse, do you want to have the second hand embarrassment? Carrying me all the way to the girl’s dormitory? That will definitely be news for all because you’ll be the first guy to enter that building! This time Mary replied while glaring at Jeremy when Maureene suddenly speaks.
“What are you doing here Bella?” Maureene asks directly to Bella with slight furrowed eyebrows.
“Well, Luke is my boyfriend and I found out from David that he’s sick so I went here to check on him.” Bella replied.
“I want to ask the same of you? Why are you here with Logan? As far as I know, the two of you are not acquainted in any means to Luke...” She asks out of confusion clearly written in her face.
Maureene was taken aback slightly and turned to Logan for help but he just looked on her and ignored it. Maureene closed her eyes with disbelief for the fact that this cold-hearted friend of hers is not clearly helping her right now. She now turned to Bella, searching for plausible lie to tell her when Bella turned her attention from Maureene to David, she noticed something.
“David... have you been hiding the whole time inside that closet?” she asks with a frown on her face.
David who was looking down the floor while standing at the corner, trying to conceal his presence as possible for him not to be noticed at all, suddenly shot his attention to Bella with slightly widen eyes. He knows the reason for the frown laid open in her face for them to see.
It was clearly an invasion of privacy for the couple.
“Uhm... I want to explain Princess- I mean big sis! Uhm I went here for the same reason as you because he’s sick, you know, I’m worried about him too.” David paused “I came here much earlier from you so we talked a.... little? He just told me hints about what happened between the two of you and we were immersed with our conversation that when you suddenly came here, we panicked, well technically I was the only one who panicked and hid in the closet before it hit me that ‘Why do I have to hide myself in here?’ and then you’re already inside the room and now I can’t get out the moment the two of you really had that heavy.... moment.” David explained rather abruptly with his hand gestures that it really looked like he’s lying when he’s telling the truth, well apart from the fact that he is worried because he is Luke’s best friend when the truth is he’s actually his younger brother.
“Oh alright I’m already quite tired of today’s trip from our homeland to here on the surface and earlier I have to deal with a lot of boys at school so let’s just cut the chase I’m just here in this for one reason alone and it’s not for you Bella, so you have to sleep, sorry.” Then Maureene’s eyes turned red as she said this to Bella. Mary and Jeremy became alert with what she said and tried to rush to Bella’s side but Maureene is fast enough to cast a spell. A medium-sized magic circle emitting a gray light suddenly formed on the floor where she stood.

As soon as Maureene said those words while looking directly at Bella, Bella reached for her chest with her right hand as she felt her heart is being crushed at the moment. Mary and Jeremy was already at her side, Mary holds her hand as she gasp for breath until the painful sensation disappeared. She’s rendered unconscious at that moment.
The reason why the pain stopped? Maureene’s magic circle is already gone for Logan pushed her back to the wall then strangled her with his long nails digging into her neck. Luke already materialized his blood from his gashed left pulse into a cuprite scythe pointing its end at her neck, the same with Jeremy’s durandal sword while David already conjure an invisible force field around the house to contain any damage that may happen if this fight will continue. All of their eyes are gleaming red with killing intent except for David, who’s ensuring no human can realize anything strange happening inside the house and Mary, who’s now attending to the unconscious princess.
Even when weakened with black blood streaming from her neck due to Logan’s long nails, Maureene forcefully talked even with crushed throat, making her blood also trail down from her mouth.
“Calm down all of you, I only used the partial part of that magic to weaken her heart to render her unconscious, not literally killing her.” She said as she gasps for the little air that can go to her lungs. Logan loosened his grip at Maureene’s neck.
“Why did you have to do that! You could’ve let Mary do it without Milady Bella feeling any kind of pain!” Jeremy shouted as he was struggling whether to hurt Maureene or not with his sword.
“Do you think she’ll let you render her unconscious when she knows that? Who knows maybe she could’ve unconsciously used her ability to control us just to prevent anything she doesn’t want to happen.” She reasoned out. “And besides, You dare to question my decision knight. I am the current heiress of Filstine clan and the lady you are serving right now is merely an exiled former crown princess, I command you to respect me as clearly, a higher position than you and your lady. Including the fact that that eyes of yours has the audacity to emit emotions of killing intent. Do you intend to murder me, Knight?” Now Maureene is glaring at Jeremy when Logan tightened his grip again in her neck causing her to wince in slight pain she felt.
“Enough. Shut your trap Maureene before I forget you’re one of my closest friends.” Then Logan reverted to his human form at let Maureene’s neck go.
“Luke, Jeremy, withdraw your weapons. David, dispel your force field and Mary” he looked at his back where Mary is now sitting at Luke’s bed where she assists Bella
“Heal her neck and his’ left pulse.” gesturing his head to both Maureene and Luke.
Logan walked away but stopped from his tracks just before he could go out of the room. “Mary and Jeremy, assist Bella into her home. David, go home to your dormitory and Maureene, just do what you needed to do, I’m going home.” Then he looked at Luke,
“It’s nice to see you again in your vampire form, Prince Luke”.
“It’s nice to see yours too, Your Highness. It was an impressive display” Luke replied. After that, Logan then turned and walked away.
“Cousin!” David tried to follow Logan like a child outside Luke’s room only to find that he already disappeared in a snap.
“I wish we could’ve talked more... It’s been a while after all...” David said with slightly sad face,
“It’s been like 100 years? Since he decided to live here to observe her” he refers to the sleeping Bella lying on Mary’s lap while sitting on Luke’s bed.
“Pardon my rudeness earlier, I was impatient as I wasn’t taught to wait for someone... lower than me” Maureene said as she is trying to be as polite as possible.
“Your really have a knack for being a bitch don’t you?” Mary commented irritatingly with a crease on her forehead.
Maureene turned to her, clearly trying to calm herself down. “What did you call me Oracle?” she asks.
“Enough with your ranking bullshits, you’re still the same age as me and Jeremy, and so what now that I called you that? You want me wish you gone?” Mary challenged her.
“Do not threaten me Mary; you know the council forbids you to use your talents on unreasonable means.” Maureene replied with a reprimanding tone.
“I am not threatening you, I’m merely warning you or I swear the council will have to drag me down to Vindice prison after you repeat this again” Mary bravely replied.
“I’m not merely an oracle to Bella but also her best friend. A relationship which you’ll never know and will never experience because you always look down upon those who are willing to serve you, if only you give them respect they deserve.”
Maureene looked away as that felt like a slap on her ego as the current heiress. Nonetheless, it is true and it had a very strong impact on her that she couldn’t think of any answer at that moment.
“Enough, Mary. I had already enough of dramas this day, You and Jeremy must get Bella home right now, the duchess and her younger sister must be looking for her now that the sun was already down.” Luke said as he noticed that the sun is down outside his window pane.
“David” he caught his younger brother’s attention, which is just leaning on the door of his bedroom at that time.
“Create a portal by Bella’s house so they can go there fast”.
With that request from Luke, he immediately closed the door. While holding the doorknob, David’s eyes suddenly glowed lime as he used his inborn vampire talent, it is to control space and force- field. By the time he opened the door, it showed the street by Bella’s house right before them. He let go of the door knob and gestured them to go across the portal he just created.
“After you get her safely at their home, take care you two.” Luke said as Jeremy carried Bella and Mary carried their things. They both bowed their heads slightly for respect then they turned to the portal, crossed over it and the portal disappeared as David’s glow in his eyes too.
“Logan said you’re here for a reason, Lady Maureene.” Luke directly addressed Maureene. David felt like he wasn’t needed there so he turned to leave when Maureene stopped him.
“Please Prince David, I also request your presence.” She said as David looked at her flabbergasted.
“Come here David, sit beside me.” Luke calls his brother lazily as he waves his hands. David went and sit at his bed silently then looked curious about Maureene.
“What do you need?” David asks like an innocent child beside his older brother.
Maureene curtsied before speaking.
“Pardon my character display earlier, I stand before you as the current Heiress of the Filstine Clan, the Crown Princess to the throne, future Queen of Agharta and wife to the Crown Prince Daniel Logan Jake Timothy Horváth Walter, I am Crown Princess Maureene Therese Sophia Vanessa Jószef Asztalos and I am here to formally introduce myself to you, Princes of Agharta”
The two men bowed their heads slightly then Luke said,
“We, two of the members of the Aghartean Royal Family welcome you to the surface human world. I am the eldest son of the King Djibril’s younger brother and as part of the Walter Clan, the Crown Prince Logan is a cousin of mine and therefore as his future wife has finally showed to us, we are most pleased by your presence here, I am Prince Luke Andrews Theodore Raven Vergö Walter”
“And I am Prince Charles David Brian Scott Vergö Walter, his younger brother” David said with a kind smile.
“Thank you for welcoming me here my Princes, I must now leave to let the two of you rest for the day. I’m in gratitude for your understanding and kind treatment despite the commotion earlier.” Maureene said earnestly from her heart, although Maureene can be unreasonable and a brat sometimes, she is also of kind heart.
“No worries, Crown Princess. You may also leave now so you can prepare for your classes tomorrow.” Luke replied calmly.
“Then I must now take my leave tonight, so long my Princes.” Maureene curtsied then turned away to leave. The room outside glowed with gray light, a sign that she may have used her magic to create a portal into her home.
After all that commotion, silence consumed the whole house as gentle cold breeze blows outside. Luke just let his body slam into his bed. He didn’t really had a great sleep and also a great day so he’s so tired, even having blood dinner is out of option and sleep is the first choice. David just looks at his tired older brother now lying on the bed at his right side. Even at silence, it’s never been awkward for them since they’re really close siblings. Actually it helps more now that Luke might get pissed off easily when he’s tired and it’s noisy around him.
“Do you want to have dinner or to just have a rest here in your room?” David asked after a while, still beside him.
“I just want to rest here Dave; sorry I don’t have an appetite tonight. Do you have someone to serve you food at your dorm?” Luke asks.
“Yeah my butler is actually staying there too, there’s no way mother would’ve let me come here alone knowing that I’ll not be able to be as independent as you are right now hehe...” David smiles cheekily.
“That’s why you don’t have to do anything stupid just to live here. You basically threw your priviledges away with one simple crime you committed.” Luke said like an older brother scolding his brother in a calm way.
David snorts and looks away from him as he says “It’s boring down there you know. Stereotyping elders are always a pain in the ass.”
“Dave, there are still girls at our age down there...” Luke said to him as if it’s an obvious thing to know.
“Well, they’re not my type.” He said to brother’s face flatly.
“Eventually you’ll have to marry one you know?” Luke replied as he closed his eyes slowly drifting to sleep.
“Nah, I’d rather be a bachelor my whole life. But for now... I don’t want to think about that.”
Except the fact that I haven’t found that girl... David thought to himself, and when Luke didn’t say a thing, he looked back at his brother only to find him in deep sleep. Normally vampires don’t sleep at night but for Luke, he must’ve been tired and besides, he may feel kind of drained because his blood is still scattered on the floor from the scythe he created earlier. David then just cast a spell to summon a household spirit to clean the mess in his brother’s bedroom.
As before he closes the door and turns to leave after the spirits cleaned Luke’s room, he bids goodbye to his brother even though he may not hear it.
“Have a good night bro, hope you’ll still be happy after you’ll know something about Bella in the future...”

Meanwhile at Maureene’s current mansion...
“Ah what a long day indeed” Maureene said and sighed out of tiredness as she lays down to a long gothic black couch inside her room with her eyes closed.
The bright crescent moon is at its peak when suddenly, it formed into a glistening full moon. Much brighter than its average normal light.
“Good evening Mademoiselle” the voice from nowhere caused Maureene to immediately open her eyes. She sat properly in the couch and tried to sense if that someone is just hiding in the shadows inside her room but none. Only the blinding light from the full moon embraces her whole mansion.
But then she remembered Spheria, the living mirror who acts as the eyes of the Royal family and the Aghatean council in the human world.
And this voice must be... she thought
“It’s been a little while Duke Lancaster” She greeted even though she cannot see him. Spheria is the one connecting this world to their world, the reason why the request for communication is possible for the Earl.
A manly laugh can be heard as he continued his words, “Oh please Mademoiselle... There are 13 Vincitore Paxton-Lancaster Councilmen, which the 12 are my brothers and we’re all different. You must’ve recognized my own voice”
“Pardon me, Duke Carlisle Louis Thormund Barton Paxton Lancaster. Does that suffice?” Maureene smirked at her slight jest to the earl.
“Feisty, aren’t we? Well Mademoiselle... You failed today, we saw it.” Vincitore Duke Carlisle commented on what ruckus earlier.
“I want to clear out that I didn’t fail Monsieur. I just tested her vessel’s extent. Clearly you can see that she’s awfully weak like humans do and I inferred it to the commotion earlier. It’s not a mere failure but a test for gathering information about her so I plead you that you do not underestimate my capabilities to kill vampire with human qualities. It’ll be much easier if she doesn’t have those high ranking nobles around her but I’ve got no much of a choice. It’ll be long before I fulfill my duty here.” She replied with dignity and confidence to the unseen duke.
The duke remained silent before giving his answer.
“I understand and now the procedure doesn’t matter as you hold your own destiny with your choices in your plans. You must fulfill your duty or not only their world but our world will perish too. That is your last duty before becoming the queen, you understood that Mademoiselle Filstine?”
“Yes I understood Monsieur” Maureene replied.
“Good. Have a pleasant rest, Mademoiselle. The aghartean society awaits your glorious return from your sworn duty.” And with that, the voice faded away as the moon turn back to its crescent form and reduced its light.
Maureene stood from her couch and went in front of her gothic black closet and removed her civilian clothes into her black lace robe and went over to lie down on her enormous gothic black canopy bed. As she stares into the ceiling of her bed, she notices that everything she owned in her life is always in black whereas Bella always worn white dresses, owns white things in her majestic life.
