Roseus Book 1 follows the travels of Chizue, a twelve year-old girl, and five year-old twin sisters, Akiko and Kirara, through the welcoming and sometimes hostile countryside of Old Japan.  Due to an unfortunate incident in the neighboring town, Yamada, their relatively peaceful lives are threatened compelling them to leave the clearing they call home.
