I think I like Jonathan, I saw him today and mehn! is he good-looking! sadly he is younger than me, he is in grade 5. Also, I think he likes my best friend, it burns me very much cause he doesn't even care, I gave him my book because he sounded like he really wanted it. He was happy and excitedly chatting with my best friend before I asked him for the book, but guess what, immediately I asked for the book, he got angry, maybe he doesn't like me at all. That was the journal of 12 year-old Didi, all I had to worry about was whether my crush liked me, or how I felt towards my bestfriend, right now even as I read my journal 10 years later, I drift off to that exact moment allowing myself to feel all those emotions, this was one of the methods I used as an escape from reality. Just as I was being swept by my thoughts, I was pulled back to reality by the familiar tune from my phone, "Happy" by Pharrell Williams was playing, it was a call from one of my high school friends, I picked it up and had a little chat and finally ended the call. I was being reminded of our reunion which was on Saturday, two days away, if it were not for the call, I would have totally forgotten to attend it.
A little beaming smile appeared on my face even as I closed my diary, and put it back in the bedside drawer on the left side of my bed.
