Damien was great at remaining silent when he wanted to. While walking through the vegetated portion of the island heading toward the base, he was sure to suppress his energy and not make a sound. Not even a twig snapping.
He scanned the area, searching for any signs of Tymon as he walked, but unsurprisingly, Tymon was just as skilled at hiding his presence. It was only by chance that he bumped into a tree growing over a wall of the base that Tymon happened to be perched on. At first, Damien couldn't see anything in the tree, but the more he stared, the more a silhouette became more distinct to him until he could discern enough of a figure to know it was Tymon.
Damien darted up the tree with an insuppressible smile and popped up next to Tymon, observing the Holders below.
Tymon reflexively grabbed Damien's forearm with enough strength to cause a small amount of pain to him.
Damien winced, surprised by this. Although that in and of itself was proof already, he quietly scanned Tymon for any signs of being affected by his ability, but there weren't any.
So it's true...
Tymon gave Damien a lingering side glance. Then, a look of recognition set in as he loosened his grip and let go.
"It's Damien, right? Or did you go with a different name this time?" Tymon asked as he redirected his attention to the Holders.
Damien was momentarily shocked Tymon knew his name until he remembered.
"Right, you have memories from your previous life. Yes, it's Damien. I'm here to help."
"I don't need any help," Tymon said flatly.
"I don't doubt that, but if you have something planned, you'd better do it soon because trouble is coming."
Tymon sighed heavily. While gazing at his side profile, Damien could see a twinge of sadness and a dark weight behind his eyes. Tymon no longer had the eyes of the innocent guy he'd been watching over for two years, making Damien wonder just how much Tymon had done – how much he was carrying.
His question was answered as Tymon leaped from the branch and landed within the base, and throughout the next couple of minutes, Damien watched, speechless, as Tymon slaughtered each and every watcher present. Some deaths were so gruesome that Damien couldn't help but feel pity for the humans. Though it was a thousand versus one, none of them stood a chance.
When his work was done, the place resembled a battlefield had two small armies clashed.
Tymon walked up to the tree Damien stood in.
"You sure you still want to help?" Tymon asked, his wolfish eyes peering up at Damien as blood dripped from his claws.
Damien realized Tymon had done all of that to scare him off, but he wasn't about to run away after finally meeting him after all this time.
Damien smirked amusingly as he dropped from the branch.
"I'm not squeamish about killing humans. Though I was shocked momentarily, I'm sure you taking this approach is for a good reason," Damien smiled acceptingly. "We'd better hurry if you plan to destroy this base like the other."
Tymon stared at Damien blankly as his eyes and hands returned to normal.
"Fine. If you insist on staying, there's a special room here that I want to make sure we destroy, if nothing else." Tymon declared, turning away and pointing at a distant floating metal cube. "And I think that's it."
Damien followed Tymon to the cube. Upon closer inspection, it floated and slowly rotated over a wide hole that went through the island and led to the sea. There were large anti-gravity devices with TekTra labeled on them positioned on multiple points of the hole to keep it above the ground.
Damien spotted a door he and Tymon entered through as the object spun. Inside, the room was still, but in its center was a stasis area controlled by similar smaller versions of the anti-gravity devices used outside. The room's walls were solid cindium lined with PRP and what looked like suppression lights to Damien. However, they were deactivated at the time.
"What is this?" Damien's voice echoed in the vast, empty space.
Tymon passed him a map while informing him of what the bases he and Za'Fia had been destroying were meant for. He told Damien they were standing on Base A, meant to imprison Arne, while Za'Fia was at Base N in southern Texas, meant to hold Naomi.
"They made certain that Arne wouldn't be in contact with any earth," Damien commented as he scanned the room. "Sorry, neta."
"Let's hurry, destroy it, and leave before Claeg gets here," Damien suggested. "Luckily, he can't fly, but I wouldn't be surprised if he turned out to be a quick swimmer."
Damien figured a fight would signal the other High Gods to come there. Although, now that he thought about it, why not send multiple instead of just one if they wanted to catch Tymon and Za'Fia?
Damien heard metallic crunching noises as he turned to see Tymon, already ahead of him, crushing the anti-gravity machines inside the room, causing the stasis area to dissipate.
"I'll take care of the ones outside," Damien told him as he stepped out of the floating safe.
As Damien sped around the hole, breaking the anti-gravity machines, Tymon flew beneath the room to support its weight as it began to fall toward the sea. Damien watched as dark energy spread over the massive mass of metal, but Tymon then just as quickly retracted his power.
Damien gave Tymon a confused look.
"I wanted to see if I could decay it. Maybe make it rust like other metals, but it looks like cindium doesn't rust," Tymon stated as he let the room fall into the ocean.
"Now for some arson?" Damien asked with a playful expectation.
Before Tymon could answer, they noticed one of the nearby men stand up. He held his side while leaning over and desperately putting something in his ears. Based on his different colored uniform than the others, Damien presumed he was this base's Sub Deity. The man was wearing an odd gauntlet on one of his arms. With a press of a button, dark lenses fell over the Sub Deity's eyes as a blinding light flashed seemingly from everywhere, disorienting Damien and Tymon. Then, a deafening noise blasted them continuously as the Sub Deity took off toward the hangar bay.
Damien could sense the electricity running through the base. It was how he knew a tall cellular tower was built nearby that he figured was the source of the signal the base was receiving. He pointed at it as Tymon nodded and sped toward it. With a swipe of Damien's hand, all the lights near them burst. Then, part of the tower started to rust as it was upended and launched toward the hangar bay. This didn't stop the Sub Deity, which was fast approaching a jet.
Damien moved to intercept the Sub Deity, skidding to a stop before him as he sat, cross-legged on a metal platform separating the jets.
"I'm sorry, but I can't let you leave," Damien said with lighting flickering between his fingers. The Sub Deity stopped as he desperately eyed the jet next to Damien.
In a blur, Tymon appeared, moving swiftly behind the man from his right to his left side, but the man's senses were too slow to notice Tymon's immediate presence. Once the Sub Deity felt something, his head turned in the direction Tymon had come from, but Tymon stood in front of the man. When his senses finally caught up to Tymon's presence, the man's head snapped forward to see Tymon towering over him.
With a swift swipe of his hand, Tymon sent the Sub Deity's heading flying somewhere on the base.
As the body fell to the ground, Damien was about to suggest they hurry and finish their business again, but there was a sudden loud grumbling noise heard from nearby.
"Nothing like a little bloodshed to get the appetite going," Claeg said, sucking blood off his thumb and walking toward them from the base entrance. In his hand, he carried the severed head of the Sub Deity, who now had a piece of his face missing.

Fun fact: Arne is the slowest Primordial but is physically the second strongest and most durable of the Primordials.
