Blood. The smell of it filled the air. It's coppery taste filled Leon's mouth as he watched Arlen carefully, like a hawk hunting it's prey. He licked his lips, then sniffed the wind. It was almost time. He returned his eyes to Arlen.
Arlen was impeccable. That hair, glowing gold in the sunlight, that face, so perfect, and that body - oh, Leon remembered that body vividly. Moving under his hands, longing arms reaching around him. But now that wasn't what he saw. He only saw how delicious it looked. His stomach rumbled, and he rummaged through his sack, grabbing a small piece of meat and tearing into it. Oh, that copper taste never faded. It was unfair that humans hated them, then had to go and make their flesh so delectable. He hungered for it the way that a wolf hungers for a rabbit's flesh, or a dog for a human friend. 90Please respect copyright.PENANADumNqzguEB
Just as he was about to lose control and attack Arlen, he saw movement in the forest. They were here. He grinned, and as he did, his bones twisted, his body changed, sprouting fur all over it. Within moments, he had become a wolf.
He crouched, then sprung, flying over the entire hillside, opening his jaws wide, clamping down on Arlen's midsection.
Arlen screamed in pain as Leon's teeth dug through his flesh, tearing it, shredding it. Leon swallowed what was in his mouth - causing Arlen to scream again as his intestines were torn out of him, spraying blood everywhere. Leon then clamped back down, ripping huge chunks out of Arlen's flesh, tearing at his side, his chest, his legs, his arms, anywhere Leon could reach. 90Please respect copyright.PENANAS23tzaKQOk
Arlen continued to scream, tears running down his face as he desperately tried to escape, but it was no use. In a matter of minutes, Arlen was nothing but a pile of bones surrounding by a pool of blood and bits of flesh that Leon couldn't bite into.90Please respect copyright.PENANAT0WIe8rA3X
Leon transformed again, regaining his human form, wiping his mouth with his cheek to clear off the blood. He grinned, and started walking away from the body, only stopping to grab a single tooth from the ground.
Meanwhile, far across the Earth, two humans were looking into a tank.
Inside the tank wasn't anything special, it was just a fish tank.
But what was living inside the tank changed everything.
There was a human in there. If you looked at her from one angle. Look at her from another and she's a fish. Look at her from another and you see what she really is. A mermaid. One of the men looked at the other, and they had a small silent conversation.
Their conversation was cut short by the sudden entrance of three people.
Two were in white hazmat suits, and were leading the third, who was wearing nothing but skin, and trying desperately to escape. Despite his attempts, he was dragged to the tank, and lifted onto a platform. This platform moved over the tank, and dumped him in. He desperately started to swim, but made sure to keep his strokes even and calm. The mermaid began to swim around, sensing a new presence in the tank, but not being able to see it (mermaids exist at a place so low in the ocean that no light can reach it. They use bioluminescence to see down there, and this is too bright for them to see.).
As she got closer to the man, the man began to speed up, and the mermaid detected the vibrations. She turned, and smiled, showing her sharp shark teeth as she launched herself forwards, spinning through the water towards the man.
She slammed right into him, and latched onto the first thing she could as they barrelled through the water, before jetting away.
The man screamed and doubled over in pain as the other men winced in sympathy. Blood poured through the man's hands even as he tried to hold closed the wound.
The mermaid, sensing blood, spun back around and swam for the man again, biting his shoulder this time. The man screamed yet again, and desperately tried to swim away, but the mermaid was too fast, taking a chunk out of his back.
Blood was pouring from his shoulder, back, and crotch now, as the mermaid continued to take little chunks out of him, some of his foot, his leg, his arm, soon the man began to feel woozy, before passing out and spirally down to the aquarium floor.
As he did, the mermaid latched on one more time, taking a chunk out of his face. As blood continued to pour out of the man, the mermaid swam up and sniffed his body.
Sensing no pulse, she turned away, leaving his body to rot and join the other skeletons littering the bottom of her cage.
One of the men smiled, and gestured towards one of the other men, who had just stopped vomiting, and the man grabbed a bag full of water, with three piranhas in it, and tossed the bag into the tank. The piranhas made quick work of the man inside the tank's body, leaving nothing but the bone. Meanwhile, the mermaid had sensed them, and spun around, launching itself at them and latching on, killing them in seconds before returning to her peaceful swimming, a serene expression on her face.
The other two men looked at the first in horror.
One of them asked with an incredulous voice, "And you want another one?"
