My best friend told me that over the summer she and her family would be coming to the US to reunite with me after she had to move to Britain 5 years ago and they would be flying back using AirBritain(No it was not really called AirBritain I changed the name of the company because they have had enough news stations on them since this happened so they don't need me to add on to it.) Now when I found out that's who my friend was using to fly from where she lived in London to Texas(I have moved from here this is the only reason why I said what state I was in.)
I had tried to convince her to just wait a few more days until a flight from some other airline company opened up. This is because AirBritain wasn't really all that reliable because in the past they haven't had the best ratings or reviews some of the reviews said that they saw one of the engines completely stop and swears that he saw it even fall off the plane at one point in time. Only reason that police never did anything about it other then tell the man to go see a psychiatrist was because there was no sign of the engine ever stopping or even coming loose.
My friend wouldn't hear it and said that they would be fine and that there was nothing to worry about. I got really worried and told her to tell me when they were about to get on the plane because she had told me that the flight would only be about 10 hours because it would be nonstop and when she told me that they were almost on the plane and that we wouldn't be able to talk until she landed. So, I looked at the time it was 6:30 A.M. I was only up that early because she had called me to tell me that she was about to board. I had decided to make an alarm set ten hours later so that I knew when she should have landed.
When it became 4:30 ish at night I tried to get a hold of her but she didn't answer me so I waited a bit for her to get back to me. After 3 or so hours have passed I got a voicemail on my phone from my friend and it was timed at 10:25 and when I listened to it she was hysterical and I almost couldn't understand her when she was talking or at the very least screaming like a crazy person. There was a lot of background noise that sounded like a whole plane full of people screaming and the plane she was on couldn't hold more then maybe 90-130 people but it sounded like there was almost 500 hundred people there,so that's why there are words missing that should be there. Here's what I could understand.
"Austin you right. I'm sorry,call the or the military I care which you just get someone of the situation on plane. I think it terrorist attack. They aren't they are monsters."
At this point I was scared for her life because I could barely understand her because she started crying so that made it harder for me to understand her.
"No dad, please didn't do anything to him can't help you take instead."
This is when she stopped talking and I heard some voice that sounded kind of like a snake i'm not sure all I know is that it whatever spoke wasn't human.
"You must be thisssss girl'sssss friend how niccce of you to lisssten to my work. Pleassse do call back when you get thissss to tell me what you thought of my work. I hope you liked it I tried my bessst on thisss one, jusssst for you. Your friend issss dead and sssso are the other people on the plane no one ssssurvived the onssslaught. I'll be ssseeing you the next time you fly. Until then sssleep tight Aussstin."
This is where the voice mall stopped.This all happened 5 years ago and I've been scared to fly ever since. But hopefully nothing will happen to me because I now work for a company that needs me to fly to other countries for work because I'm a translator.
