in the depths of the darkness

there was a shadow

with nowhere to hide

but he had one dream,

yearning for the light,

It reached out,

longing to be free,

but the light and warmth were just out of reach,

he twitched and flickered

in the moonlit night,

hoping for a chance,

to dance with the light

but he remained trapped,

in his world of eternal darkness

unable to join the world where the sun dances

he accepted his home is the darkest of all

and although the shadow cannot reach paradise

he embraces his darkness,

finding his release

the shadow and the light dance with eachother from opposite worlds

for even in the midst of night,

beauty can be found,

so in our own darkest hour,

even when light is out of reach,

there's strength in embracing the shadows,

because within them,

our own light is shining and dancing
