(I love games, but not just any games,) I said to myself as I walked to school. The ones that really get me excited are Game Boy Advance games. As I made my way down the path, I suddenly heard a familiar voice calling my name "Jaren" out in the distance. Curiosity piqued. I looked around and saw a 5'3 school girl with fair skin, long black hair, thin eyebrows, and black eyes approaching me.
"Jaren," she said, her voice pulling me closer, now walking beside me on the way to school. "Hey, are you even paying attention? It's not polite to ignore your girlfriend, you know."
Yeah, that's right, girlfriend. I can't believe someone as dedicated to gaming as me got one.
"I have a new game today! Maybe we could play it for fun, Marsha," I said excitedly. But I was really focused on trying to beat this game called Advance Guardian Heroes, so I thought it would be cool to suggest it to Marsha.
"One time, I played a game with you just so we could start dating. Honestly, I don't understand why you are so obsessed with that thing. We haven't been out on a date for like two weeks now. I can't even call the other times we've hung out dates; we've only been going to your room while I watch you play video games," Marsha said, sighing.
I wasn't really paying attention to anything she was saying. My mind checked out as soon as she mentioned that it was a one-time.
"Huh? Did you say something?" I said, still engrossed in playing the video game. In that moment, all I saw was a hand grabbing my Game Boy Advance console out of my hand and slamming it onto the ground.
All of my saved files and the progress I had made are gone. Why, why, why would she do this?
