My Dream:986Please respect copyright.PENANA4bTnnDsf1A
I look around myself. I'm in a trench, and around me is... red. Lots of it. I look at myself, and see that I have civilian clothes on, a band on my arm showing I'm a medical assist, and a bag. In the bag is some medical stuff (can't quite remember exactly what) along with a handgun. I look down and see that a man is dying in the arms of a kid soldier.
"Mama... mama... I... I don't want to die..." he said in between breaths and spits of blood. The child seemed to be expressionless. I look into my bag in order to help the man, but my supplies disappeared. That's when I realized it was a dream, and I was shot in my shoulder.
I awake.
My Ramblings:
Sooo... I suppose this could be a mixture of the documentaries I've been watching along with my imagination, the A Light in the Shadow of Darkness series (by GratedPvtchris on FictionPress), and my conversations that I've had with my brother and father lately.
To start off, I've been watching D-Day inquiries, Navy SEALS documentaries, as well as Marine documentaries. They're all mostly about what happens with the appropriate things. During D-Day, as one man explained, all you could see at the beach was red, people, and gunfire. As for Navy SEALS, well, they say that they're not always doing action. Sure, they sometimes do do that, but not always. They scout out places, they reinforce, and sometimes they take out targets. The Marines do all kinds of stuff; from dealing with technology, to running on the field.
I've been thinking up a lot of stuff in my imagination because of conversations and GratedPvtchris' stories.
The A Light in the Shadow of Darkness series is quite good, but it has some 'anime' or 'manga' aspects to it. If you can tolerate it, go read the first, then go on from there. (I myself thought that the story was quite exceptional. Just me? (I always feel like grabbing a wine glass when I say 'fancy' words like "exceptional"... still just me?))
Now as for the conversations, we mostly discussed how messed up American society can be at most times and how stupid and ungrateful people are when looking at the men and women who die for them on foreign soil. I mean, seriously, why's the U.S. of A. society so odd, ungrateful, and stupid (at times)? I just don't get it. Everyone should know that there's people dying for them. Hell, there's little Chinese children working for nickles a day to make the shoes you wear and mass produce clothing and all these other products. Ya know, 'cause machines cost more than children according to the factory owners. It's not even limited to the factory children; there's also local heroes and such, like police officers, firefighters, doctors, nurses, paramedics, etc., etc. ... *sigh* And the sad thing is those people can never have their opinion swayed unless if the government interferes. It's just... sad.
So, eh, it could be all of that. Or, it could just be a random dream God sent me. Or a random dream my mind created on the spot in order to stimulate my conscious and stuff. Eh, science and religion can work together, eh? ... Why am I using 'eh' so much?
Okay basically, this dream's confusing to me. Also the way the man said his final words were... well, it's unexplainable. It's emotional, ya know? Nah, ya can't really know unless if you were there firsthand. That's why I don't know, 'cause I was never there firsthand; just in a dream. All in all, at the end of the day it's an odd dream for an odd guy. Yeah, let's go with that.986Please respect copyright.PENANA0BbpvBiD0H

I've had a sort of... reoccurrence of this dream, yet it was different, somehow. I was a different person, although the dream was basically the same; same setting, same output; but there were a few things different. It was especially vivid, and it seemed as if I were really there. In the first aforementioned dream, it was as if I was in a daze, all dream-like, but in the reoccurence, it was as if I was really the medical assist. Just thought I'd put this little note here for future reference, if I ever wish to post the dream on here (or maybe even on Broken Scenes).986Please respect copyright.PENANAixKIwEzDbk
