As I left my boyfriend's house I turned around and blew him a kiss. I walk slowly back home draped in his hoodie. The air washed down my throat peacefully. It was rudely interrupted by my lawn mower. The rest of my day was normal besides the fact that all of my friends didn't respond to my messengers.
The next day I walk to my best friend’s house to hangout . As I walk into her room i saw the most terrifying image. As i ran out the house my heart kept pounding in my. Blood rushing through my body, as i cried and ran home. The image danced through my head, and it taughted me. I sobbed as I collapsed on my bed. My breathing grew my and my eyes closed. As I stuffed clothes into my bag I ran to the mountains.
The mountains calmed me. They were my happy place. As I reached the top, I laid down. I had been climbing for hours, not knowing the time. You might be thinking.
”Won’t your parent wonder where you are?” I had been leaving home at the most random times and coming back late. My parents were use to it by now. I looked up at the midnight sky as I swallowed a gulp or air. As I replayed the image in my head, iI cried. I couldn’t believe my best friend would do that to me. Hannah and I had been friends for so long, and I couldn’t believe she would do that behind my back. Replaying the image of her kissing my boyfriend in my mind again I felt a burning sensation for revenge flicker.
Revenge is all I could think of right now. All I cared about was getting back at her. The next day at school Hannah came up to me. “Elise, I am so sorry I kissed your boyfriend I didn’t mean to hurt you,” she said sounding sincere. I, of course forgave her, and gave her the green light to date my, now ex boyfriend Cole.
For the next few month I decided to be an angel and act like her goody two shoes bestie. Secretly I was plotting for revenge. I had been despondent for to long. It was time to change something.
After 3 month Hannah and Cole broke up. I had also figured out Hannah’s biggest, she can’t swim and she was deathly afraid of heights. Next week our class was going cliff diving, but sadly Hannah wasn't coming. As I walked over to Hannah confidently attempting to convince her to come. “Fine, I’ll come, but I’m not going any near the water,” Hannah said out loud. As I had a happy dance in my head I gave myself a high five after she turned around to leave.
After days of waiting it was finally time for the trip.
