Me and Chrissy are going on a camping trip. Chrissy has been camping before and I practically begged her to take me camping. She said I wasn’t responsible enough but she couldn’t say no when I promised her I’d buy her whatever she wants. Soon after packing up and getting things into the car, we set off. By the time we got there it was morning. We set up camp and Chrissy said she was going on a walk. Chrissy has been gone for longer than expected. Me and Chrissy have been friends since 6th grade. She was friends with someone named Harley. Harley befriended me and then I met Chrissy. Harley had ADHD so she was always active and Chrissy learned how to deal with her so when I came over to their table at lunch, I put her to the test because now it was Harley with ADHD and me with ADHD. I guess that’s why Chrissy was my best friend as well as Harley’s best friend, we could just talk to her without being told to stop. Harley was with another friend of ours named Beth when I asked if Chrissy would take me camping.
It was getting late and I heard Chrissy coming back but she was with someone. I heard them walking, and soon Chrissy said something about getting the stranger something. After she left I went into her tent to find the stranger sitting on her bedroll. The girl was bleeding from her leg, it looked really bad. When I walked in she got startled. We stared at each other for a while before I spoke. “Hi-Why is your leg bleeding…”. I was fidgeting my fingers when I spoke. The stranger spoke in a whisper “I was getting chased and…” She stopped talking before finishing her sentence “I tripped.”
“Oh um… do you know where Chrissy went?”
“She went to get me some bandages.”
I stood there just staring at the stranger for what felt like forever. She had sugar brown hair and bright blue eyes. She looked about the same height as me and Chrissy.
“Jeada move so I can get to her.” Chrissy’s sudden appearance scared me. I moved out of the way and watched as Chrissy walked over to the mysterious stranger to bandage her leg. “What is your name?” Chrissy said, chrissy waited for the girl to answer. “Oh my names Zola- Zola spirit”72Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡjFzvPnz6Ll
It was going to get dark soon so I left Chrissy's tent and went to my own. As I lay down in my sleeping bag I heard what sounded like scratching and footsteps, the crunching of sticks and leaves. I thought about what I said when I first got here. “Hey Chrissy look, it’s like a horror movie.” And the person who dies first is always the one who’s alone... I was that person. I got up and walked carefully over to Chrissy’s tent. “Chrissy, can I come inside your tent, I don’t want to be alone. I keep hearing noises in the forest.”

“Jeada, what kind of noises were you hearing?”-Z
“There were these footsteps and crunching of-J sticks and leaves.”
“It was probably another camper so calm down.”-C
“Chrissy I don’t think that was another camper, remember when you found me in the woods?”-Z
“Yeah, why?”-C
“Well, I was in the woods because something was chasing me and Rome. I don’t know exactly what it was but it was fast. And I wasn’t looking and that’s when I tripped and scraped my knee.”-Z
It was silent for a bit but Chrissy opened the tent and let me in.
I got in and set the stuff I brought with me down. “I think there is something outside but it might just be a wild animal.” Chrissy sounded calm, I think she was trying to calm me and Zola down. “I’m going to take a peek outside to see if there’s anything there.” Zola wanted to look out. “I won’t stop you.”-C
“Ok, it will be quick.” I watched Zola open the tent a bit. The second she looked outside she froze and she was shaking. She backed away from the opening. Her speech was shaky and apart, “The-there’s something o-out there. It’s not a pers-son and it’s not an animal, it’s something big like a were-werewolf. B-b-but worse.”
The dog started barking at the opening and it poked its snout out of the tent, opening it more. I tried grabbing him before it left the tent.
“Oh there you are Rome, I’ve been looking for you.” It was Zola speaking but her voice was outside the tent when she was inside. “ROME NO!” the Zola yelled, long black fingers came in and grabbed Rome taking him. I heard a thud behind me but I was more concerned with the tent opening. I closed the tent. I turned around to see Zola had collapsed to the ground and Chrissy was helping her get up. “Why was Zola’s voice outside when she was inside?” I asked in a very shaky voice.
“I don’t know. But whatever is out there, is smarter than we think.” Chrissy didn’t sound worried in the slightest. Soon we were all looking at each other trying to figure out what was going on. “So….What now?” Chrissy was the first to speak after what seemed like hours. She sounded so calm. And considering our situation, her being calm made me think she had something to do with this. Chrissy looked over at Zola. I continued to stare at Chrissy. “Jeada come over here.” I heard Chrissy say. She sounded very serious and was not asking. So I stood up and went over to her and Zola.
“Jeada pick up Zola.” I did as I was told, mainly because I’ve never heard this side of Chrissy. Chrissy has always been quiet but loud when she was with friends. She was never demanding, she had always asked for things but now she was taking control. “Good. Now follow me.”
“What are you planning?”
“Jeada…now is not the time for questions.”
Chrissy walked over to the door. She looked over at me and Zola. I looked into her eyes and there was nothing there. It was like looking into foggy glass. I couldn’t read her anymore. Chrissy walked back over to me and Zola. She grabbed my arm harshly. She pulled me to the door. I watched in horror as she started opening the tent.
Chrissy looked outside. She looked left to right only to say “Come on, we have to leave now.” Zola finally said something, “Where are we going?”
“The car.”
I could feel Zola nod her head. Chrissy then pulled us out by my arm. Then she let go and started running. Chrissy had always been a fast runner so she outran us, that and I was holding a person. By the time I got there Chrissy was in the driver seat. I threw open the passenger door and put Zola in. I slammed the door closed and then quickly opened the side door.I saw something above me so I looked up and there it was. It was long and its back was that of an animal.
It reached its long arms towards me. I was frozen there in shock. It grabbed the sides of the car. “ROME!!!” I heard Zola yell. Rome then jumped in the car. The monster made its move and lounged at me. It scratched my chest and I screamed in pain. The beast was now on top of me. I kicked it off of me with all the strength I had left. Then I stood up, everything was really blurry for a bit. I stumbled to the open door, as I got in I could see it. The thing that was on me just moments ago. I slammed the door closed. “GO!” I yelled. I had to put my hands out in front of me to stop myself from going into the front seats. After a while Chrissy whipped the car around and there it was. The main road! I could only muster a light smile. Then everything went black.
