Goodbye Tomorrow..77Please respect copyright.PENANAChQM5vQQYw
My last summer day was almost over. The sun had slowly begun to set, sending a warm orange light down on the cobblestone street.
The air was still and silent, almost as if the world had stopped to pay attention to me as I stood in the park alone.
I had been suffering from melancholy for many years. And I had tried to treat it with medication, but nothing seemed to help.
I had become so lonely and isolated that I stopped talking to most people and rarely left the house.
It just so happened that I then decided to take one last walk in the park. Because I knew my life was nearing its end and I wanted to spend my last moments in peace.
I slowly walked past the trees, their leaves rustling in the wind. I breathed in the fresh air, feeling slightly content for the first time in a long while.
I then stopped at a really small pond and looked out at the sky. It was a beautiful sight; the sun was setting and the stars were beginning to appear in the night sky.
I then closed my eyes and just stood there, savoring the moment. But, in an instant, it seemed like my life had come to an end.
Melancholy had won the battle. And as I was closing my eyes, I watched as today waved goodbye to tomorrow.77Please respect copyright.PENANAq9upg8QwEZ
