Whats their attitude to their job? does he look forward to going round to peoples houses fixing what ever it is he fixes? Does he go out of his way to help them beyond his job?
If they don't enjoy their job, did they ever?

Do his customers treat him well? make him coffee/tea? do they treat him badly like trash and how does that affect their outlook on their job?
Do they have such a great time doing what they do the day goes by quickly or does it drag on for them?
Does his job affect this persons home life? Relationships?
Does the day you describe make it different from any other day in his life?
