it’s birdsong and laughter, those loving sounds

building up into some kind of ugly symphony, masterpiece,

torn apart, sewn together, torn apart,

it’s all fun and games and pretty paints,

it’s whispered secrets and quick, run! escapes

from the peeling edges of an unappealing canvas, masterpiece,

havoc beneath, haven beneath, unseen. unknown.
