"A Time To Remember"
Act 6
(Curtain opens)
Scene: Sing Sing Prison, Cell Block B, Cell 2, Solitary Confinement**
(Luca is sitting against the wall on his bunk. He's hunched over, hands clasped, lost in thought. The dim light casts shadows across his face as he begins to speak softly to himself, a mix of remorse and nostalgia coloring his tone.)
Luca:(Speaking softly to himself)
"Five grand... That was the price on Sully's head. 'Sully' Sullivan, the cop who thought he ran Brooklyn. Shook down the wrong guys one too many times. I remember that day at La Trattoria Bella Napoli, one of Mineo's boys slid into the booth across from me. 'Luca,' he said, 'you're the one we need.' And I, hungry for that score, I didn't hesitate. (Pauses, chuckles darkly) Should've known better.
(He stands up, pacing the small cell, reliving the past)
The night was as dark as the deed. I waited, shadowed by the alleys, my heart pounding louder than my footsteps. And there he was, 'ol' Sully, strolling like he owned the streets. One quick move, the blade found its mark, and he... he just crumpled. Didn't expect him to scream like that. Didn't expect the eyes that saw me, that marked me for the chair.
(Sits back down, a resigned smile on his face)
Now here I am, time's up, and all I got is these four walls and a lifetime of memories. Five grand... and not a damn cent to show for it."
(Curtain closes and stage lights fade)
**End of Act 6**

Luca: (Speaking calmly and clearly)
I remember going on the run and stealing a car and driving out of town and just kept driving all night . I kept driving everything seem like a blur and having the whole New York police force looking for me.
After it seem like a week I would up in a small town called Hardin,Illinois. Nothing much there the most fascinating thing there was The Joe Page Bridge. I stayed in a place called Dew Drop Inn it was nice and quiet, nobody seem to look at me twice. The only thing was kinda of interesting was one rainy night I remember. I could see a old lady laying in the gutter, and she could hear her say something it was mumbling. She just kept draging herself through the gutter and the rainwater just ran over her and she just layed back down in the gutter . I ran down to the front desk and said there a old lady laying in the gutter outside. I remember the Inn keeper I think his name was Bob Herchial he told me not to bother .I ask why she could drown out there. He told me thats old Mary Sholtz . She out there every night. I ask why does she does that. Bob told me she caught her husband with her best friend almost 12 years ago. I guess she trying to drink away the pain. Many tried to help her, but she goes right back to the bottle. I replied oh didnt know. I wanted to stay there, but I knew someone would get wise. So I took off and hid in St.louis Missouri before they caught up to me so local must of recognized me, next thing I knew my hotel room at The Chase Park Hotel was surrounded and I was extradited back to New York and ended up here damn, fun while it lasted I guess.
