Staring up into the sky above, a blank expression was all he could muster. The events of the past days always at the corner of his eyes. He silently wondered why this particular death caught his attention so.
Pondering it for a moment, his pupiless violet eyes stared at the shining pale white orb in the sky. Even now, as he bathe in its radiance, he see's how it was but a single light in the pitch black space above. For him, this was a picture's he's seen for as long a he can remember. A starless sky with but the full moon to keep the world of darkness alight. To him, a phrase always comes to mind.
"For when the monster comes to play, the children will always run away..." He whispered eerily. "...yet when it starts to walk away, does the children come out to play."683Please respect copyright.PENANAj5DMiauYHW
And a monster he was indeed. For the lone fact is...he already knew the answer to his question. For in the last couple hours, even now, he could feel the warmth of her blood dripping down his skin. For even now, he could still see her amber eyes gaze back into his own. Thinking back, he guessed that he was nothing but a coward.
Killing was nothing new to him. He's done it before, and he knows that he'll do it again. Puppets his victims would be, and puppets are all he would see. For the moment he has them in his sight, he will sever the strings that keep their eyes brimming with life. That is how it has been, and that is how it shall always be.
...but the moment he took her life, he knew he had cut the strings of someone he had sworn to protect. He had cut the strings to sever the connection the enemy had n his family. To protect them, he had killed an odd woman. To keep them safe, he was forced to cut down a person unfortunate enough to regain her memories. A woman who saw him for who he was,and not what he's done.
Someone who thought she could help, even though it would have been better for her not to remember. To protect his family, he was forced to kill the woman he loved with all his heart.683Please respect copyright.PENANA1CzF14FCe7
And for that, he was a coward. Because for all his power...for all his might...he could never protect what he held dear.
