"LLOYD! LLOYD!! LLOOOYYD!!!" A familiar voice echoed through the corridors, echoing off the stone walls. It was none other than Cyra, who tried to fly her way through to her brother's quarters, her wings beating wildly as she struggled to stay aloft. Every time she got to a particular height, she just ended up falling again, but always caught herself just before hitting the ground, her reflexes saving her from a nasty fall. Her 'flying' continued in that exact pattern, like a butterfly that just came out of its chrysalis, unsteady and unsure.
Lloyd, who had just come out of his quarters, was trying to fasten the top clasp of his sleek black robe, adorned with intricate red trim that shimmered in the light. The robe was a deep, dark black that seemed to absorb the light around it, and the red trim added a touch of elegance to the overall design. For some reason, the top clasp was always the hardest to fasten, and Lloyd's frustration was evident on his face. He'd stopped a few meters away from his sister, who was still trying to keep herself from falling, her face set in a determined expression.
Cyra yelled at him to look up, her voice piercing the air. Lloyd, frustrated by both things, yelled back, "Wait a sec!" His voice was laced with exasperation, but he couldn't help but smile at his sister's antics.
Cyra whined, "Come on!" Her voice was plaintive, but Lloyd just shook his head.
Lloyd told her, "Sheesh, I'm coming!" He then hummed in satisfaction after the clasp slipped through the hole, and from there, he started adjusting his collar, smoothing out any wrinkles in his robe.
Cyra just rolled her eyes and stayed quiet while trying to focus on 'flying', her wings beating steadily as she hovered in mid-air.
"This better be good, Cyra," Lloyd said finally, looking up at his sister. He just gaped at her, who was still trying not to fall, her face set in a determined expression.
Cyra said, "Surprise?" in excitement, her eyes shining with pride. She looked like a child who had just discovered a hidden treasure, her face alight with joy. "Turns out, Angels can fly!"
Lloyd stared in complete disbelief, asking, "Didn't you know that before?" His voice was laced with incredulity, and he took a step back, eyeing his sister's wings.
Cyra replied, "Uhh, not really...? I just thought the wings were there for... just being there - oof!" She said while trying to gently lower herself to the ground but ended up falling, her wings fluttering wildly as she struggled to right herself. Luckily for her, the distance between her and the floor wasn't much, and she landed with a soft thud.
Cyra completed her statement while getting up and dusting herself, her wings still fluttering wildly. "You know? Like Devils!" She exclaimed, her eyes shining with excitement.
Lloyd whispered to himself, "Wow..." His voice was barely audible, but unfortunately for him, Cyra heard that.
"What? Mesmerised by my abilities?" She stated proudly while showing off her wings, her face alight with pride.
Lloyd stated simply, "To be frank, I am mesmerised." He stepped back to avoid getting wing-slapped by his sister, his eyes fixed on her wings, slightly cautious.
Cyra hummed proudly, and said, "Of course you are-"
"By how dense you are," Lloyd completed with a deadpan, his expression unchanging.
Cyra glared at him and asked, "What do you mean?" Her voice was sharp, and she took a step closer to her brother, her wings still fluttering wildly.
Lloyd facepalmed and said, "At this point, it'll take longer than expected for you to master your right side." He grabbed Cyra's wrist, holding it firmly, his eyes locked on hers.
Cyra knew just what he was about to do. "Hey! Just because you're my older brother doesn't give you permission to teleport me wherever you want. I can do that on my own too, you know!" Her voice was firm, but Lloyd just smiled and teleported her anyway.
In a whirl of gray, they arrived at the palace library. The library was a grand, high-ceilinged room filled with shelves upon shelves of ancient tomes and dusty scrolls. The walls were lined with towering bookcases, their wooden surfaces adorned with intricate carvings of mythical creatures and mystical symbols. Cyra, having expected this, just looked around taking her surroundings in. She gazed up at the vaulted ceiling, where delicate frescoes depicted scenes of Angels and Devils in battle.
She asked, confusion etched on her face, "What are we doing here? And where are you going?"
Lloyd, who had already let go of her hand, was walking towards an aisle with a huge sign on top that read 'The Supernatural' in bold, golden letters. The aisle was the largest in the library, stretching across the entire room like a river of knowledge. It was broken down into sets, each section dedicated to a specific aspect of the Supernatural world. He searched for a particular set with a sign that said 'The Angels', his eyes scanning the shelves with a practiced intensity.
He then skimmed his fingers through the books there for a few moments, his touch light as he searched for the perfect tome. His hand finally settled on a leather-bound book adorned with silver filigree, and he pulled it from the shelf with a soft creak.
Cyra was still standing in the same spot, narrowing her eyes at her brother who seemed to be checking out a book she was completely unfamiliar with. 'Just what is he up to now?' She thought, her mind racing with possibilities.
Lloyd had stopped skimming through the pages of the book and walked towards Cyra. When he got to where she was, he grabbed her wrist yet again and dragged her to one of the many ornate desks scattered throughout the library. The desks were made of dark, polished wood, adorned with intricate carvings of hellish creatures and mystical symbols. The chairs, too, were ornate, with high backs and velvet cushions in deep, rich colors.
He then sat her down on one of the chairs, his grip firm but gentle.
"Lloyd, what are you-" Cyra began, but was cut off by the sound of the book thudding onto the desk.
"Read this," Lloyd stated calmly, pointing to the book he had just dropped on the desk.
Cyra stared in confusion at her brother, who was walking towards the other side of the table. "Why?" she asked, her voice laced with frustration.
"Don't ask, just read," Lloyd replied, his eyes fixed on her. "I'll be right in front of you."
He sat down on a chair directly across from Cyra, took out another book titled 'The Infernal Compendium: A Guide to the Depths of Hell', and began reading.
"Uhh okay...?" Cyra replied, staring at her brother who seemed to pay no attention to her. She peeked at the title of the book, which stated 'The Angelic Hierarchy: A Guide to the Levels and Abilities of Angels'.
"Levels? Angels have levels?" She whispered to herself in utter shock. "Just like Devils. They're more similar than I thought."
"Yet, we're completely different," Lloyd suddenly said, causing Cyra to jump a bit.
"Oh now, you talk," Cyra said with an eye roll.
Lloyd just raised his eyebrow, causing her to sweat drop.
"I'll just get back to reading..." She said nervously.
Lloyd then went back to his reading, his eyes scanning the pages with a practiced intensity. Cyra opened the book to the first page and started reading, her eyes widening as she delved into the secrets of the angelic hierarchy.
The pages revealed...

Angels... Beings of unparalleled purity, inhabiting the realm of Heaven, a majestic domain within the Afterlife. This sacred haven was reserved for the most virtuous souls, who ascended to eternal bliss amidst shimmering clouds and radiant light. Angels, as guardians of this realm, possessed distinct powers and hierarchies.
One of their most revered abilities was Healing, a gift that allowed them to mend wounds and restore balance to their own essence and that of others. This power was a cornerstone of their nature, but its potency and efficiency varied according to their level within the angelic hierarchy. The higher the level, the more extensive and rapid the healing process.
Flight was an inherent gift, a natural aspect of an Angel's existence. Even the most novice Angels, those of the lowest levels, could soar through the skies with elegance and precision, their wings beating in harmony with the celestial rhythms.
However, Teleportation was a rare and coveted ability, reserved for the most exalted Angels. Only the Seraphim and Cherubim, the highest echelons of the angelic order, could wield this power with precision. The Angel ruler, a being of supreme authority, possessed unfettered access to teleportation, moving with ease between realms and dimensions.

As Cyra read on, she became increasingly fascinated by the intricacies of the angelic world, her mind racing with questions and wonder. The book's yellowed pages seemed to whisper secrets of a realm both familiar and unknown, drawing her into a world of wonder and awe.
'I guess I'm gonna have to thank Lloyd for forcing me to read this,' Cyra thought to herself, a hint of gratitude towards her brother creeping into her mind. She glanced up at Lloyd, who seemed engrossed in his book, a look of intense focus on his face. His eyes scanned the pages with a practiced intensity, his expression unreadable.
She suddenly thought of something, a question bubbling up in her mind. "Do you think Devils of the highest level can fly?" She asked Lloyd curiously, her voice breaking the silence between them.
Lloyd looked up from his book, a hint of amusement dancing in his eyes. "You really need to read more, don't you?" He replied, his tone laced with gentle teasing.
Cyra's face fell, expecting a straightforward answer. Lloyd's expression turned enigmatic, his eyes glinting with mischief. "I'm not going to tell you," He said, his voice firm but playful.
Cyra let out a groan. "Ugh," She grumbled, glaring at Lloyd half-heartedly. Her eyes narrowed, but her expression softened, knowing her brother's penchant for secrecy.
With a huff, she focused her attention back to the book in front of her, her eyes scanning the pages with renewed interest. The words seemed to leap off the page, filling her with a sense of wonder and curiosity about the supernatural world. Lloyd's silence only fueled her determination to learn more.

Angels, renowned for their benevolence and compassion, were not inherently crafted for battle. Their gentle nature made them vulnerable to their sworn enemies, the Devils, who reveled in chaos and destruction. For centuries, the angels suffered at the hands of their adversaries, their numbers dwindling with each brutal encounter. Despite their remarkable healing abilities, which allowed them to mend wounds and restore balance to their essence, Angels could still be vanquished by the Devils' cunning and strength.
However, a turning point arrived with the ascension of Queen Heralé, the first angel ruler. This visionary leader, determined to safeguard her people, initiated a radical transformation. She established a prestigious order of skilled angels, known as Archangels, who would undergo rigorous training with specialized weapons. These majestic beings mastered the art of combat, wielding swords, bows, and arrows with precision and deadliness.
Under Queen Heralé's guidance, the Archangels flourished, bridging the gap between angels and Devils. As the ages passed, angels began to counter the Devils' ferocity, eventually gaining the upper hand in battle. The angelic hierarchy, a complex system of ranks and levels, played a crucial role in this resurgence.
Angels, like the celestial bodies that illuminated the heavens, were divided into distinct categories, each with its unique abilities and strengths...

Cyra: "Just because you're my older brother doesn't give you permission to teleport me wherever you want."
Lloyd: "Oh, but it does. It's in the Big Brother Handbook, section 3, subsection 7: 'Teleporting your sibling is allowed, especially when they're being extra'."
