They say immortality is a curse. I say it is my duty.
The duty of one that knows all, sees all, creates all. You may think I am lonely, that my heart has grown cold in the years I have witnessed each star, each planet, each person be born and die.
But I see the beauty in it all.
I am the Creator. Many creatures know my purpose, though I go by many names. Yet I am the one that has created every atom in this universe, and set it into motion. It is a wondrous gift, indeed.
You sit down there, living your tiny lives, and wonder about how grand the universe is, and you think of yourself small. But how wonderful it is that each minute human has such a unique and different life, that you laugh, cry, live, die.
I have watched everyone of you, and I smile.
Because I know that even if in the grand scheme of things, you are incomprehensibly small...to you, your life is the greatest thing on earth.
It is the tenacity of humans which I admire so much. Despite each hardship you face, despite every time you fear you will fail, you fear for death...you pick yourself up, and keep going.
I may be the one to set things in motion, I may be the being that watches as the universe slowly dies, and I may be alone.
But you make with your life what you will.
And that is beautiful.
