Eyes shadowed over by thunderstorm
Dark and ragged and glowing and jagged
Eyes about to cry
You open your palm to the storm and quintillions of flower petals fall from your hands into the floodwaters
Waters that wash away all the lands
Storms that bend and break trees that are bigger than buildings.
All you have is your storms
A land that is bleeding, a land that is flooded with blood
A land that has been flooded with blood since time immemorial
I long to choose to shoulder your load
You who is Kaali brimming with darkness
You who is Parvati the mother
And Sati the young lover
And Durga the revolutionary
And so much more
Your pain weeps like blood
A thousand wounds in your heart
And yet you have to soldier on carrying them all
Your breath is heavy. Your eyelashes are the wings of birds longing to fly. Your breast is cut open and a child is somewhere carried off by the floodwaters.
There are no words for the pain. It's too much for humans to endure. It's something humans shouldn't have to endure yet here it is.
In the storm there is brief lightning. Bright white amidst the flooding greyness.
There is grief. And there is rage. And there is truth only given to those searching. And there is you.78Please respect copyright.PENANA4jIGxdGr5s
