I closed my notebook and tossed it on my bed. It had a neatly painted cardstock cover, which I'd made a few weeks ago when I first moved to Pittsburgh, for me to keep a hold of my shit (I was never good at keeping a hold of my shit). It was painted red and white, with my name neatly written in the lower left-hand corner.
Lately, I had been keeping a track of all the kids I was friends with (saying 'friends' was sort of a stretch since I only knew them for a few weeks, but whatever) in that notebook, since of course I have to micromanage my interactions! How else am I supposed to appear like a good person? (not that I'm not one, but you know what I mean.)
I slipped off my hoodie, sweaty from marching band, and since I'm a silly little shit I forgot to wear anything under it. I plop my ass into my overly ergonomic (read: uncomfortable) swivel chair at my desk, and booted my PC. I stared at the hypnotizing blue screen, waiting for it to turn on. After a few seconds, it booted, and I typed in my PIN - it was my birthdate. Of course it was my birthdate. I'm so fucking full of myself.
Once it loads up, I wait a moment, not knowing what to do, then I decide to open Discord. I click the little icon at the bottom of my screen, and wait for that to login. After a second, it boots and I see a DM from a username I don't recognize.
I open the message, and slowly read over it, my face slowly growing intrigued...
