Glitch pinned her face against the window. "Wow! S-s-s-so this th-th-th-th-this is what space is li-like!"
Levi gripped the controls tightly, his teeth clenched as he tried to stabilize the ship. “This isn’t space yet,” he growled, glancing at the trio in disbelief. “And you’re not going to make it there unless you stop messing with my ship!”
Twilight stumbled over to the cockpit, holding his tail protectively. “Listen, we didn’t exactly mean to hijack your ship, alright? Things just... escalated.”
Luna crossed her arms and smirked, “Looks like you’re stuck with us now, wolf. We need a ride, and you seem to be the only one who knows how to fly this thing without crashing.”
Levi shot her an annoyed look. “I work alone. I don’t have time for your... nonsense.”
Glitch, still peering out the window, looked over at Levi with a grin. “Oh come on! You need a crew! Every great pilot has a team, right?”
Levi's ears flattened in irritation. "I don't need a team. Especially not one that nearly crashes my ship!”
Twilight, rubbing his aching head, sighed, “Well, you’re stuck with us for now. Unless you want to go back and deal with those police down there.” He motioned to the fur police, now scrambling below as the ship soared higher into the atmosphere.
Levi paused, considering his options. As much as he hated the idea of having passengers—especially ones as chaotic as this group—the police weren’t exactly a better alternative. He let out a frustrated sigh. “Fine. But stay out of my way, and don’t touch anything.”
Glitch bounced in her seat. “Promise! I won’t touch anything—unless it looks cool!”
Twilight slumped into a seat, exhausted from the day's chaos. "At this point, I just want a nap. Wake me up when we’re... wherever we’re going."
Levi rolled his eyes, steering the ship smoothly as they finally broke through the clouds, leaving the planet and the fur police behind. “I can’t believe this,” he muttered to himself.
Luna leaned back and smirked. “Well, look at it this way. We’re on an adventure now.”
Levi shook his head, still fuming. “This better not be the kind of adventure that gets my ship blown up.”
Suddenly a screen popped up. On every corner of Furtopia and on every ship. A dark shadowy figure stood before the screen. "I am Emperor Rick!" the figure declared. "And you will all—" before he could continue there was a loud microphone feedback. "Wait, let me fix that. Ahem. I am Emperor Rick! And you will all bow down to me!"
"Never thought I'd live to see the day, when I'd meet an emperor wannabe." said Luna.
The furrys of Furtopia stood in confusion, staring at the large screen in the sky.
Levi groaned, facepalming as Emperor Rick's speech echoed through the ship's speakers.
Glitch tilted her head, fascinated. “Do we... bow down now? Or do we fight him?”
Twilight, now somewhat recovered from his earlier mishaps, glanced at the screen, frowning. “This guy really thinks he can rule Furtopia? What’s his plan—bore us into submission?”
The screen flickered as Emperor Rick cleared his throat. “Bow down to me, or face the wrath of my mighty fleet! I have control over every sector in Furtopia. Resistance is futile!”
Levi scoffed. “Mighty fleet? I’ve never heard of this guy. He’s bluffing.”
The crew's eyes narrowed as a large ship—far larger than Levi's appeared and charged up an ion cannon that was pointed at Furtopia.
"He's not actually going to shoot that thing...is he?" Twilight whimpered.
Emperor Rick’s voice boomed through the speakers again. “This is your final warning! Bow to me, or face total destruction! You have ten seconds to comply!”
Luna leaned forward, intrigued. “Maybe... but if he’s broadcasting on every ship and corner of Furtopia, he has some serious tech behind him. He might not be a total joke.”
Twilight rubbed his chin, considering the situation. “So, what do we do? Keep running from the police, or deal with ‘Emperor Rick’ here?”
Levi let out a frustrated growl. “I vote we ignore this idiot and focus on getting as far away as possible. I’ve had enough excitement for one day.”
Another voice came through Levi's communications. "You might wanna see if your paw is on the communications—"
Levi looked down. "It's not my paw."
Luna looked down at her paw. "Fuck."
Levi shot a sharp glare at Luna, who sheepishly lifted her paw off the comms button. "Great job," Levi muttered sarcastically. "Now everyone can hear us."
Twilight smirked. "So much for stealth."
The ship’s speakers crackled again as Emperor Rick’s voice returned, this time sounding more amused. “Ah, I see we have some rebels aboard a fleeing ship! You, with the faulty communications—perhaps you’ll be the first to feel the wrath of my fleet!”
Twilight’s ears immediately flattened as he looked up at the screen. “Wait, what? No, no, no! We’re just innocent bystanders!”
Glitch giggled, her glitchy voice hiccuping as she watched Twilight panic. “W-w-well, looks like we’re on his radar now. What’s the plan, Captain?”
Levi, clearly not amused by the situation, tightened his grip on the ship’s helm. “The plan? I eject you worthless shits and—"
"Eject us?" Twilight yelped.
"I thought we—"
"There is no 'we'!" Levi barked, interrupting Glitch. "There never was a 'we'! The only crew I have and need is Me, Myself, and I!"
Everyone was silent for a moment.
"Who's Myself and I?" Twilight asked, breaking the silence.
"You're looking at them dumbass. I am Myself! I am I!" Levi barked.
Twilight blinked in confusion, glancing between Levi and the others. “Wait, so... you’re saying you’re three wolves in one? That doesn’t make any sense.”
Levi groaned, massaging his temples. “No, you idiot! It’s a figure of speech. It means I work alone!”
Glitch, still giggling, leaned over toward Twilight. “I-I-I think he’s losing it.”
Luna, arms crossed and clearly amused by the tension, chimed in, “Well, this dysfunctional crew of misfits better figure something out fast, because ‘Emperor Rick’ seems to have a bone to pick with us.”
As if on cue, the screen flickered again. Emperor Rick’s voice thundered once more, now clearly focusing on Levi’s ship. “You, aboard the fleeing vessel—surrender now, and maybe I’ll show mercy. Refuse, and I’ll personally make sure you’re obliterated along with the rest of Furtopia.”
Levi growled under his breath. “This guy really doesn’t know when to quit, does he?”
Twilight shifted nervously. “I mean, he’s got a fleet and a giant ship with an ion cannon aimed at us. Maybe we should... you know, not push our luck?”
Luna raised an eyebrow. “Since when did you get so cautious?”
“I just don’t want to end up as space debris today!” Twilight snapped, his tail twitching.
Levi exhaled sharply, his patience wearing thin. “Look, we’re not surrendering. And we’re definitely not letting some idiot in a costume scare us off.”
Glitch suddenly perked up, her glitchy eyes widening. “Ooooh! Can we hack his ship? We could m-m-m-make it explode!”
Levi looked at her with a mixture of disbelief and annoyance. “No. We’re not hacking anything. This is a spaceship, not some arcade game.”
Glitch’s excitement faded slightly, but she still fiddled with the ship’s systems, her glitchy fingers twitching as she glanced at Levi’s console.
Twilight sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. “Well, whatever we do, we better decide fast. We’ve got a very angry emperor and a fleet to deal with.”
Just then, the ship shook violently, alarms blaring as a bright beam of light shot past them, missing by inches.
“Looks like Rick’s not bluffing,” Luna remarked dryly. “What’s the plan now, Captain?”
Levi gritted his teeth, eyes narrowing. “Fine. You want a plan? I’ll give you one. I'm going to outfly this emperor wannabe, lose the fleet, and get the hell away from Furtopia.”
Twilight gulped. “Outfly an entire fleet? You sure about that?”
Levi shot him a confident glare. “I’m the best damn pilot in this galaxy. Trust me, we’ll make it.”
Glitch’s glitchy laughter filled the cockpit. “This is gonna be fun!”
The ship suddenly roared to life as Levi pushed the throttle forward, the engines flaring as they shot toward the edge of Furtopia’s atmosphere, leaving Emperor Rick’s voice echoing behind them.
